Congratulations on your choice for a home birth! I think you have made a great decision. I had an exceptionally long, difficult labor, but I still plan to do it the same way again. If you have any questions or if I can help at all, feel free to let me know. My advice, have a birthing tub. Even if you don't deliver in it. It made a WORLD of difference to me during labor. Made it much easier to take. Even if you think you won't use it, I would still have it available just in case. You won't know what you want until you get there. And if you don't use it, oh well, at least you had the option.
I used Molly Germash from Family Birth Services in Grand Prairie. She now has her own birthing center in Weatherford as well as working from Family Birth Services. Lisa Thomas assisted at my birth and is now working for Family Birth Services. I have a friend who has used Ginger Holmes Kynion for four home births (that I attended). I would recommend any of them.
