Looking for a Pediatrician in the Palatine/Schaumburg/AH/BG Area

We go to Arlington Pediatrics in Arlington Heights. The doctors there are awesome. Both my twins have Asthma so we are in the office quite often and they always take excellent care of them. They are associated with Children's and NWCH.

I'm sure that everyone who likes their pediatrician feels this way, but we have the BEST pediatrician ever **BIG SMILE** Her name is Carol Burkhart. She has taken care of our little one (who's 3) since being born. He was premature and faced several difficulties, but through all of the medical ups and downs she's been terrific. She's a doctor who makes you feel really comfortable, she explains everything no matter how small it may be, and she doesn't quit until she finds an answer. I can't say enough about her and the staff (as well as the other doctors) in that office. It's Medical Pediatrics in Arlington Heights. 1700 W. Central Rd. Dr. Zand is a great doctor to supports breast feeding and helps you with ideas as much as possible. He is located off of Barrington Rd. and Higgins in the Doctor's Buildings next to St. Alexius Hospital. I don't have the number off hand, but I know you can find it online. We go to Homefirst (www.homefirst.com) and they are very supportive of breastfeeding. They are family practice.

We go to North Arlington Ped. in Arlington Hgts. Dr. Dokin and Dr. Walsh has taken care of my children since they were born. My children were always sick when they were little and the doctors were great!!!! My oldest will be 17 years old next month, so it's hard to believe we have been going there for 17 years!!!

We love Dr's Slavik and Miller. It is father/son office and they have a location in BG and Schumburg. They are awesome. I was referred to them by the ladies on Mamasource and my sister also has her son go to them. They are friendly caring and very attentive!

I go to North Arlington Pediatrics off of Arl. Heights Rd. They have about 8 doctors now ad some of them are more pro=BF than others. You might have to ask about that if you call. I've had the best experiences with Dr. Beth Walsh and Dr. Deirdre Anderson. Some of the others...not so much...and some I haven't seen. (I'm BF dd#3 at 16mos, still). Try to schedule an interview with the one you pick to specifically ask that question along w/ any others you might have. The one thing about NAPeds that I love is that no matter when you call, they'll get you in that day for a sick appt. You never have to wait more than a day for someone to see your child.

If Glenview isn't too far for you, I would totally suggest Dr. Jason Canel with ENW, he is above and beyond any doctor that I have ever met!! The have offices in Deerfield, and may have one in Buffalo Grove as well. I would check it out on ENW's website. (Evanston Norhtwestern).

We go to Children and Teens. They have and office in Schaumburg, Barrington and Algonquin. I specifically recommend Dr. Megahed but I am not sure if he is affiliated with the Sch office or not. Although any of the doctors I have seen in the practice are great. There are like 6 or 7.
