Looking for a Preschool in the Northborough Area

Hi everyone,

My husband and I live in Northborough with our three year old daughter who currently goes to a great in-home daycare. She missed the preschool cut off for this fall because she was not three by September 1. We're starting our preschool search for next fall and are looking for recommendations. We both work full time and are looking for a preschool with an extended day program. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

The Westboro Area Jewish Community Center on Oak Street has a great program - they have always been very open to Jewish and non-Jewish children. About half the staff is Jewish, half not, and there is great energy. I'm pretty sure they have extended day options. They've been around for years - my son went there and he is now 19! They are next to the Westboro Tennis & Swim Club, and I think they have cooperative programs with them. They serve Westboro, Southboro, Northboro, Hudson, Shrewsbury, and other towns.

Another great program in Westboro is Miss Tanya's centers - she started with one program and now has 3 at different locations in town. She is terrific and runs very enriching programs. One is in town at the Unitarian Church, one is on Longmeadow Road just off Route 9, and a third one is on Flanders Road I think. The Methodist and Congregational Churches in Westboro also have long-established programs. I have neighbors who have kids in all of them, but I'm not sure about extended day.

Hope this helps.

My boys went to the Boroughs YMCA. They have extended hours (7-6, I think?). My older son went there from age 3 1/2 to 6 (he also missed the cutoff. My younger son went there from age 1.5 until 3 when he went to a home preschool (and I starting working part time). We were happy there. Good luck with your search.

I live in Hudson and we have our daughter in the Bright Horizons at Solomon Pond. I will definitely keep her there for Pre-school, we love it.
