My family & I have to leave our dog w/ someone other than family for the first time for vacation this year. Looking to find a reputable kennel that will take all sorts of breeds for a week long stay. He's up to date all shots & is in good health.
Thanks!

This isn't a kennel, but try fetch pet care.

I haven't used them yet, but my dog gets too stressed at kennels and then gets sick so i can't use keennels and plan to use this when i need it.

We take our yellow lab to Greenlin Kennels (greenlinkennel.com) when we can't take her with us. They have one in Mechanicsburg and one in Middletown. We have been very pleased with them- it is great especially if your dog likes to play with other dogs or likes to swim since they have a fenced in play yard and pool. The staff there are excellent and they even sent us pictures of her in the mail from the last time she stayed there (they also post pictures on their website so that you can check in on your dog if you want). They also have doggy day care which we used right around the time our baby was born when we weren't able to get her the exercise that she is used to- you drop them off in the morning and pick them up in the evening- she always comes back exhausted from all the running around :) Hope this helps...

I don't know if Fleetwood is a convenient location for you (it's a short drive for me from Temple). I've boarded my dog 3 times with Willorill Kennels in Fleetwood, and he's always happy and bouncy (a ten year old dog bouncy!) when I pick him up. When he's been at all stressed in the past, even for a few minutes, he'll show dandruff on his back, which shows up easily in his short black thin fur. He's never had any sign of it after boarding with Willorill, and the owner is always very helpful and accomodating with my dog's preferences and feeding schedule. The kennel building and runs are new, clean, and very well kept. The price is also very reasonable, compared to other kennels close by. I don't know if they're often booked solid in the summer, but I've never had a problem in the colder months on short notice.
Their number is ###-###-####, and their URL is www.willorillkennels.com.

Hi Jessica, Try the Country Lane Pet Hotel in North Versailles Ps. My next-door neighbor (and all three of her daughters) recommended them to us and we had our Greyhound there just last month. They do charge a one-time registration fee, and you will spend about an hour or so on the phone with the owner talking about your dog (habits, likes, dislikes, personality etc). They are amazing there! It's clean (no animal smells) the folks that work there are really sweet and they seem to really care about their doggy guests. They can even provide grooming services while your dog is there. We were really happy, our dog seemed really happy and we will be using them again with no worries!! Best wishes.

Not sure what your budget is but, when we had to go away for the first time we used Fetch Pet Care. We did used their boarding services located in someone's home. It was a little rough in the beginning for my dog, he was only a year old and had never been away from us, but he turned out fine and did well (i.e. didn't get sick, ate his regular food, etc)

If you are near Morrisville PA, check out Four Paws Doggie Day Care. It's awesome! They have Doggie Day care there every day so the dogs can all play and have fun, then come dogs stay over at night too. They are on the Snipes Farm property by Route 1 in Morrisville.

Hope that helps!
