I am looking for a good child (or family) psychologist or psychiatrist in the Walled Lake area. I am willing to drive a little further for someone great.
I have nine year old boy that has been in therapy before (months ago), but Dr. no longer accepts our insurance (BCBS PPO). We had progress, and were able to take a break - but we feel it is time to move to the next step.

Dr. Sue Malloney. She is in Walled Lake and off of Pontiac Trail next to the post office. We have been seeing her for my daughter (and the rest of us) since my daughter was in early grade school, she is now in high school. I don't have her number handy. She is the PhD type of dr. not a MD.

If you want your insurance to pay, you need to call them and get their provider list for your policy.They should be able to help you, if you describe a little bit of the problem. If you are willing to pay all of the session, out of pocket, I'm sure some mothers will have a name, sorry I don't.Just thought you'd better check before you make an appt.

I don't have the number anymore but Dr. Averbach on 10 mile and Novi Rd is excellent. I am not sure about the insurance but they will work with you they did us.
Dr. Averbach and his wife Andrea are wonderful. My son saw Dr. Averbach once a month for meds and Ann for consoling. They were great and got us thru a very far time in his life. I can't say enought goods things about them.
