I am looking for a church in the Wheaton area. My husband is Methodist and I am Presby. We want to become very involved in a church congregation so I am looking for one that has lots of groups and activities. We are fairly liberal, so I do not think a traditional church would be the best fit. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
First Presby church in Wheaton is a really nice church. They just introduced a new pastor too. They have lots of activities for adults, kids and families. They also have a wonderful daycare during service that we use everytime. My daughter is two and we have been attending this church since I was a child. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Hello M. and welcome to the area. My husband and I belong to Hope Presby on Weisbrook road in Wheaton. My husbands family were one of the founding families. I am 34 and he is 32 and we have a 21 month old son and an 8 month old daughter. The congregation is older but they are activily hosting groups and activities to add new family's to our congregation. They are also in the middle of a building project. If you would like to come to a service to see if you like it please let me know. They have a nursery that is staffed each week for the children (right now it is only mine in there) an they have sunday school for the older kids. we just moved to Naperville close to wheaton, and started going to calvary It is the best church I have ever been to The pastor is very down to earth and real,I will tell you the minute my family and I walked in to this church we felt like this is where we belonged
I cant wait to go every Sunday
My kids go to the kids groups and they really like it too They go on wed nights and they love the live bands

My family attends Gary United Methodist in Wheaton. I'm fairly involved there volunteering at the nursery, singing in the contemporary worship choir and my 3 year old will be starting preschool there next week. I think of myself as pretty liberal, so even though I attend Sunday worship pretty often, I prefer the format and the feel of Wednesday night service, it's a bit more contemporary.
