The vet out here is pretty reasonable - for my dog who weighs about 37 lbs it was like $6 a night - you might want to see call and see what they charge for a dog your size. He will have to be current on his bordatella!

My family and I are big time Golden lovers (we have one ourselves) and we might be interested in working out some sort of "dog swap" with you and keep your dog at our home at times. We make short weekend trips to Houston 3-4 times per year and HATE leaving our dog in a kennel.
