Looking for Entertainment Ideas for 18 Year Old Brother-in-law's Visit to Colora

Take him to RedRocks. They recently completed a great visitors center with a pretty decent restaurant. And if your brother-in-law is into music, the new museum in the visitor center is really cool. It showcases all the concerts that were ever there. Then of, course, you could do a bit of hiking around that area and check out the amphitheater, too. I'm not sure when they close, so it would have to be more of an afternoon activity rather than nighttime. You could also look into getting Avs hockey tickets. Or take a tour of Invesco Field - I've never done it, but I've been told it's really a neat tour. Have fun!!

If he's anything like my son, he'll want to sleep til noon be up all night. Maybe go bowling or to Net games.

This way, there is a nursery - or if you are bold you can take your two year old over to Mary Jane where their is a little hill to learn called Galloping Goose. Pony Express and "Galloping Goose". (Where my son went at two several times with us we never would have left him.)

Nighttime Snow-Cycle Ski and Ride School will offer nighttime Snow-Cycle tours as a new product for Winter Park. Since Winter Park is already a full access snow sport mountain, this would add to our guests' snow sliding experience. We will utilize the existing five nights that our gondolas are in use and transport our snow-cycles along with our guests up the mountain.

There is also tubing. Get out have some winter fun - this age - they don't shop nor do they care much about eating. Fill the empty tummy with anything easy and get out and enjoy Colorado. (Mine is quite conciencious about needing a healthy diet (Chipotle) but he still likes a few home made cookies.)

PS: Make sure he babysits one night for you to get out with your husband to earn the good time where ever you do go. Remember you don't owe him a good time let him earn it. He will enjoy it more.

It is Casa Bonita on Colfax and is great dining entertainment! Also, you could go to Boulder and walk Pearl Street -- since it is a college town and there are many odd shops and people watching -- they have an ice skating rink there as well. You can take the little one and it is very family friendly with lots of restaurants too. You might want to check out the exhibts that are up and coming and the natural history museum -- they just finished The Titanic and always have some great exhibts that interest everyone. You might want to check out and see if the Rage (hockey) will be playing at the Broomfield event center -- they are semi-pro and it is a lot less expensive then the Avalance. Hope this helps!

Casa Benitos (SP) on Colfax is a great family place he would love! It has live indoor diving and does not cost a arm and a leg. You can take the kids. My kids love the place! (21, 19,16) For the day time Celestial Seasonings tea factory in Boulder, Capital building, The Mint, Clive Cussler Museum in Arvada (might be closed in winter) Coors Brewery tour. Ice skating, Bowling, or a movie is always a winning ticket. If he likes sports you could look into who is playing and get tickets for your husband and him. Just a few ideas. I hope it helps.

If he skateboards (and the weather is good), there's that great outdoor skate park just west of downtown - by the Platte River and before you get to Coors Field.

Polly Esters lets 18-21 year olds in with a special stamp so they won't drink. It's on Blake Street near 23rd or so. They have 3 separate dance floors/rooms - 70s, 80s and hip-hop.
