I go to Amy Carter at Matile, Merrymen and Moore (they have 2 locations, on in the plaza, I'm not sure of the other). I'm having a c-section and she said I don't have to see anyone else, and even with non-planned vaginal they try to deliver their own babies on nights and some weekends. I will meet each of them, since you never know. If you go to a single person and they get sick or are out of town and you go into labor, you may have a man or women you've never meet. Chances are low, but it's always a possibility, and I would rather have meet them before. At my last group practice my doctor started my induction and then his shift ended and I got a new doctor. So I loved that she will almost guarantee that she will deliver me, but I just can't worry that if I go into preterm labor and she's not here, I want to know that person. Also, remember, you really want a women, but if you go to a private practice and she's out of town or unavailable, you get whomever they have cover them or in the worst case who is available at the hospital, which may or may not be a women. Good luck and congrats.
