Looking for Part Time Childcare

ok- I am currently a SAHM and we have found ourselves in a financial bind where I am going to need to go back to work. I did find a part-time job (about 15 hrs a week) and am now struggling to find affordable child care for my 18 month old and 3 year old. The local daycares we have visited and researched come out to roughly $25-30 an hour for both kids part time. I don't think I would even MAKE that much! Plus I don't want to be working just to pay for childcare- I need to be profitable! Does anyone know of a possible solution here? I considered having someone come to the house to watch the kids while I am working, but I don't know of anyone, and I don't want to pay for an agency to find me someone....HELP ME!!!!!

What can I do next?

are you anywhere near phoenixville? if so, try charlestown playhouse. my son ABSOLUTELY LOVED it there for 3 three years and it's cheap (you or someone else in your family would also need to volunteer some time there). www.playschool.us

Visit www.care.com
I also sent you a private message.
No way would I ever pay that much money for childcare. Never! I do agree with Denise though. Maybe work when your hubby is home.

Hi, T.:

If you are near Fountain Hill/Bethlehem line then
there is Fun Time on Clewell.

If not, I don't know where you can get help.
Good luck. D.

Do you have a friend or relative who would be able to help out that would accept less pay or may be willing to trade services? Could you work opposite your husband so you wouldn't have to rely on childcare?

As an alternative to getting a job, would you be able to cut expenses to reach your goals? I know a lot of people who have gone that route (myself included) because a second income wasn't the answer to the problem.

Personally, for those low amount of hours (unless you're making a LOT of money per hour), I would try to find something around my husband's schedule, eliminating the need to pay for childcare at all.
