I am a single parent....I like other mothers would love t stay at home until my children start school. I am wondering if anyone else is working from home and what they do from home? I love being on the Net so that would be the best way for me. I was thinking about Medical Transcriptioning but I dont know much about how all of that works...I hear you have to find your own companies to d the transcripting for. I have thought about Mary Kay but I am looking for something I can do more over the net. And something I will not have to pay shipping for and all that. Any input or suggestions would be great.

I found this medical transcriptioning website on yahoo hotjobs and although i haven't tried it myself, i did recommend this to a friend of mine and she finds it wonderful. there is an initial cost for the software but that's all, as far as i know. the associates are very helpful and it's a work from home job. the website is below, take a look:

I am also a single mom who faced having to find a way to make money after my divorce but kept me home to be there for my kids. I ended up becoming a registered in home day care provider and watch other children while I get to also spend time with my own. It's nice to be paid to do the same arts and crafts I'd be doing anyway and my kids have friends to play with everyday.

I wanted to make a little more money and ended up with $2000 of inventory sitting on my shelf. No one is interested in Mary Kay. There are way to many women selling it. They strive on building up the company. There are over 800,000 women world wide that are active consultants. In my family alone, Both of my sister-in-laws have been consultants at some time in their lives. I looked into doing medical transcription when I was pregnant with my son 5 years ago. There was a program that took several months to complete, but could be done completely from home. As part of my research into it, I contacted someone who does this for a living to get her feedback. She told me that anyplace that will hire you to do the work from home will require you to have at least 2 yrs experience transcribing at a hospital or similar first. So it seems that you really have to put in the time and get the experience before being pregnant. Or have a long term plan for staying home, not expect it to happen right away.

Well I just finished with my medical transcription classes and it is very time consuming. It is something that I have learned is very time consuming.
