Has anyone given birth at the New Maple Grove hospital? I've had 2 babies at Fairview Southdale and had really good experiences. The trouble is that the hopital is pretty far from my house and the new Maple Grove Hospital is much closer. Has anyone had any experience there? Was is nice? How were the nurses? Also, I'd love any recommendations for OB/GYNs that deliver at that hospital. Thanks ladies!

I didn't deliver at Maple Grove so don't know anything about that. I know my OB/Gyn delivers there and at North Memorial (where I delivered both boys). I LOVE my doctor and his partners. Dr. Richard Gosen is awesome! He will answer anything, take as long as you need during an appointment. His partners delivered my boys and they were all great! The clinic is Obstetrics, Gynecology and Infertility. They have offices in Maple Grove and Robbinsdale and Edina. They probably have some ideas about the best hospital for you also. North Memorial was great!

I just delivered at the new MG Hospital on January 18th...it went great! The facility is AMAZING! You feel like you are in a hotel more than a hospital room--in both the labor and delivery rooms! There is plenty of space for the hubby to sleep too!

Oakdale OBGYN is right next door...and they are great! I really like Dr. Martinie, Dr. Sarkinen, Dr. Shannon Harris, Dr. Kruase, Dr. McEvoy, and Dr. Maneh. Dr. Martinie delivered baby #2 and Dr. Harris delivered baby #1!!!

I agree with Sharon - OGI is excellent! I have had three kids with Dr. Amy Brown, and have seen Dr. Lisa Baker and Dr. Stephanie Rice and love them all. I have also seen Dr. Gosen and Dr. Czerniecki so if you prefer a male doctor, they are great as well.
They have a new clinic now in MG right by the hospital.

North Clinic delievers at Maple Grove. You can google them to find the info. They told me that the biggest issues with MG is that there is limited space, and they don't handle high risk (premie type issues). I'm supposed to register at North Memorial (where I've had good experiences in the past, and they also are equipped to handle anything) and Maple Grove. We will probably call MG when the time comes to see if they have any open beds. I think so far they have not been too busy. The accomodations are supposed to be really nice.

I delivered there on January 27th. It was awesome! My first baby was born at North Memorial in Robbinsdale, and compared to that MG was so much more quiet and relaxed. I felt like I was the only one there.

I go to Oakdale OB/Gyn and have been very pleased. I've seen most of the doctors and there is only one that I didn't really care for.
