Does anybody know of a good residential group home for teens in the Virginia Beach area. Counseling is not working. I need help before something bad happens.

What can I do next?

In norfolk they have The Barry Robinson Center. They have a good reputation. You should talk to a social worker to get a referral. The Pines also takes in residential. Hope this helps.

The counselor should be able to point you in the right direction, if not, call the Community Services Board. Good luck and hang in there!!

Dr. Hummel from Churchland Psych (that is a Portsmouth office) can steer you in the right direction. I know of VIrginia Beach Psych which took in a friend's grand child after she has cutting issues, but I believe that is a short term facility. That's on first colonial. Good luch.
