Ok I had a m/c back in January. I have had NORMAL period ever since the m/c every 25 days and lasting 4 days.
Well we had a *woops this past month and now I am 2 days late.
I took 2 PG tests and both were NEGATIVE>
I have very sore breast (no big deal I get that before my cycle) and I feel twinges in my side (I get that too before my cycle).
My question is...........
How long should I wait before I take yet ANOTHER pg test just incase it's too soon and not reading yet?
Thanks!!!

What can I do next?

I would wait until you are at least a week late (I know that will seem like an eternity!) before you take another at-home pregnancy test.

For some women tho, at-home tests don't work...like me! During my first pregnancy, I took 2 at-home tests, both said negative, and in fact I was pregnant. I assumed maybe I took them too soon, or did something wrong to show a false-negative. With my second pregnancy (which unfortunately ended in a miscarriage), I took 3 at-home tests, one at 2 days late, one at 3 days late and then a third at a week late...all said negative. But I just had that feeling that I was pregnant. Long story short...call your OBGYN and ask for a blood test. That really is the only 100% guaranteed way to find out for sure. With a blood test, it will measure your HcG levels, even if you are very early in the pregnancy. With my third pregnancy, I just called my doctor right away and asked for a blood test. I told them that at-home tests didn't work for me, and they were more than happy to send me for a blood test. Then you should have the results in a day or two at the most.

Good luck with everything...hope this helps! :)

N.,
I agree with Stephanie on the blood test. I took 7 pregnancy tests over a 2 or 3 month period when my menstrual cycle stopped and they all came back negative. I went in for hand surgery 3 months later and they tested me and it came back positive. The next week I had a doctor's appt and they sent me for an ultrasound and I was 5.5 months along with twins. I don't trust those tests anymore for obvious reasons, and so I am constantly calling the doctor to make sure that I'm not pregnant (even though I now have an IUD) if my periods are late or missed. They are normally willing ot send you for blood tests to make sure. I would try a test after it's been a week adn then if that one comes back negative, I would see a doctor. They also have those First Response tests now, maybe you could try one of those. Good luck!

it can take as long as a month for the hormones to be enough to yest for but always wait till 2 weeks after having sex b4 testing to get accurate results. you could be missing your period because of stress so try not to stress too much about it i know its hard.

good luck

I agree with the other moms when they say home pg tests dont always work. When I was pregnant with my daughter I think I took about 7 or 8 at home ones and they all said negative, I even went to the clinic and had a urine test and it said negative. I told the clinic I know I am pregnant, but they said maybe it was in my head. Needless to say I went back yet again when I didnt get my period for the second month and it was finally positive and I was about 8 or 9 weeks along. With this pregnany though, I went for a physical at the doctor and my period wasnt even due yet and it came back positive that fast. Needless to say I was completely shocked. I believe the tests say to wait 3 days or so inbetween, if you can wait that long. But if it was me, I wouldnt be able to wait that long, lol.

I waited until I was two weeks late(while I was taking birth control no less) to test and it came out negative and I still didn't have my period by the third week and tested again and I tested positive. I am now 4 months pregnant so the best thing I can suggest is wait the two week period and if it still comes out negative and you still don't have your period than contact your doctor. Good luck.

It can take up to 6 weeks for a preg taste to show anything.
