I have been going to Royal Oak pediatrics for 6 years and I have had a couple of really bad experiances there...( wrong meds, baby crying after shot and nurse told me to keep her quite..(not kidding). I m looking for a great peditrician that will get to know our family and even knows a little about Holistic health. Does anyone know any Peds like that... or even Primary Care that sees children around this area? I think my 17th month old has an ear infection and I need to make an appointment. I am willing to travel if they are worth it. Please Help me!
Thanks moms!!:)

Molly O'Shea formerly at B'Hills Ped. is now on her own at Birmingham Pediatrics and Wellness Center. She is the best, and everyone loves her! You can tell her anything and she has heard it or felt it herself!

We go to Dr. Molly O'Shea in Troy also and LOVE her. We switched when my son was 1 after some bad experiences with our pediatrician. Couldn't be happier. She is very understanding and accessible.

I live in Berkley as well and take my kids to Beverly Hills Pediatrics. They're actually located in Bingham Farms now at 13 1/2 and Telegraph (moved to a new office a few years ago). It's a little bit of a drive but not too bad. They aren't into holistic medicines but I have chosen to use a more spread out, selective vaccine schedule and they've given me NO trouble with this (which can be rare - I have a friend who is doing this at another practice and the doctor was fine with spreading vaccines out but the nurse told her "well, that's fine if you want your baby to die of that disease" - no kidding! great thing to say to a woman with a 2 month old...) Anyway, my kids primarily see Dr. Rebecca Wasvary - I haven't had a ton of experience with other doctors in the practice but my limited experience with them has been good as well. They also have daily walk-in appointments from 8:30-10am M-F and also on Saturday mornings which is REALLY nice for quick trips to get a cough or fever checked out - it avoids the urgent care and keeps your child's medical care consistent.

This is where we take our 29 month old daughter. They are very friendly and most of the physicians have children so they are all very compassionate towards the children. The staff is all very nice as well. They have same day sick visits in most cases as well. Which is a great thing to have. Best of Luck.

We too go to Beverly Hills Pediatrics. Dr. Dorsey and Dr. Obudzinki were my pediatricians growing up. Dr. Dorsey is now treating 3rd generation patients and has been a Godsend to our all the challenges we have with our son. He has seen it all. I would highly recommend them.

Dr. Maureen Kelly is awesome. She is located at woodward and square lake. She is single and spends tons of time with you( you may have to wait sometimes, but it is worth it). One of the other docs in the practice is Dr. Earles and she has a bit of holistic knowledge. I know of people who did not vaccinate their children or did not have their kids get all the vaccines and they are fine with it as long as you sign a waiver, they will suggest but not push. Many of the Docs at Beaumont send their kids to Dr. Kelly or Dr. Earles.
I went to high school with Dr. Kelly she is around 47. She was the person who always got 105% on every test and the rest of the class got 85%. As soon as I found out she was a pediatrician I was there. My kids are 9 and 11, they both like Dr. Kelly and Dr. Earels.
I also see Dr. Randy Tent CP,ND, PHd in Novi he is 100% holistic and I take my kids to him also. He is a bit of time to get into him but once your in your set. He has also had several of my friends who could not get pregnant
concieve and patients with many miscarrage have healthy babies and Mothers. He is a bit gruff but he is a teddy bear underneath. Goodluck
