Hi everyone. I am looking for a playgroup for my very very active 9 month old. I live in Greenacres and would love for my son to play with other babies his age. I would also love to gain friendships with other moms so I can maybe have a conversation with other adults.
I was/am in the same boat with my 6 month old. If you check out meetup.com there are different groups in the area you can join. They post calendars with activities almost every day, it's a great way to meet new people. You could also check out classes through your community center.
I don't live near you, but when I was seven, my mother took me to the library and got me a library card. We would visit once a week to check out books and go to the story hour. When my boys were little a favorite thing to do was visit the Children's Museum (in Washington, D.C.) The boys loved the interactive exhibits.
