Hi, Mamas -
Thanks for all of your support earlier in the question about moving to Arlington...it's a go and we are excited!
Now I just need to get all of my ducks in a row in the next few weeks.
I posted a request to the Arlington list & parents list, but thought I'd put it out here as well that we are looking for a 2br apartment in the 1500-1800 range ... preferably wood floors and walking distance to a playgound.
Also need recommendations for doctors for me and for my 2-year old. We will have BCBS coverage.
Thanks!
M. A.

Hi M.,
I work in Arlington and pretty much anywhere you go you will have walking access to a park! I live in Woburn so I can't help you with the local doctors etc but if you would like, I could hook you up with a rental agent (I work in a real estate office!) to help you find the house you are looking for. You also might want to check craigslist.org for rental listings, just put Arlington in your search.
Good luck with the move and welcome to the 'hood!
M.

Can only help with doctors. We use Dr Pangburn at Alewife Brook Community Pediatrics in East Arlington. His practice has two other peds and they're all great! My OB is Dr Beth Hardiman a sole practitioner with an office at Mt Aurburn Hospital. She delivered both of my babies and I still go to her each year for annuals. Good luck!

Hi M. - Welcome (almost) to Arlington. We use Dr Zeman at Arlington Pediatrics for my sons and Dr Altman at Family Practice Group for my husband and I. Both offices are on Water St in Arlington Center.
I live in and love East Arlington and will give a little pitch for that. There are a few different playgrounds that are great and all in walking distance of E Arlington. On your budget you should be able to find a 1st or 2nd floor 2 bedroom in a two family in E Arlington. Most of them have wood floors and around 1000 sq feet. Good luck and enjoy!
