Moving to Palm Harbor Area Next Week

hi D., you are correct in saying that you may not be able to attend your local (close to home) palm harbor schools. my son goes to safety harbor element.(an excellent school) but it is 10 miles from my house, each way. i live in clearwater. so i have gone against my wishes and now have to put him on a bus to school. meanwhile there are atleast 6 schools within 5 minutes from my house. the choice program is very confusing and it basically boils down to the numbers, if there is a opening in the grade you want in the school you want--you will make it in. i must admit i do not like the choice program and hopefully they will do away with it in the 2007/2008 school year(which there is much talk about). palm harbor is a safe area and i have several friends that live there and go to the schools there. good luck, C.

Palm Harbor is very safe. They are doing away with the choice program in Pinellas county. Therefore, your children can attend the schools close to home.

I am S. and I live in Palm Harbor. YOU are right about the choice question. I have heard that it's going to change. Call the Pinellas County School Board for more info. How old are you sons? What area of Palm Harbor do you live in. I would like to hear from you.

Palm Harbor is a nice area!

Schools? Florida schools are a whole other subject. We do private school. Montessori is on Nebraska Avenue in Palm Harbor.
