Increase her water intake and foods that have high water volume. She'll start to urinate more frequently, have more urine, and it will be lighter in color and probably smell better too.
Just wondering if that is normal? As mentioned, she is urinating around 4 times per day but only small amounts. She is drinking normal and diet hasn't changed. She doesn't complain of burning or itching, etc. So basically, I am just wondering if even though she is going regularly is the small amount cause for concern?

Whoa. Only 4 times a day? That's SO not enough. Is her urine dark? It should be as close to clear as possible She needs to be urinating more then 4 times a day. Make her drink more WATER, not juice, not milk, not soda. Water.
It's really hot right now, Mama. She is most likely dehydrated. Just because she's drinking the same amount as "usual" doesn't mean that she's getting enough.
Please call your ped and ask how much liquid she should be getting. Dehydration is really hard on her kidneys, at the very least.
Good luck,
Dawn
As long as her urine is not dark yellow (indicating dehydration) but almost beige, then perhaps she is simply using up her liquids, or sweating them out. Are you measuring her pee or just going by the sound you hear in the toilet? Sometimes when I pee it does not fall straight down making the "tinkle" sounds but slips more down one side along my skin and does not make much sound at all. It could not hurt to call the nurse at your doctor's office to ask this same question.
Just wondering if you have been "catching" her urine and measuring it? Otherwise it is hard to say just from the amount of time she needs how much urine she actually produces.
If her water intake is age appropriate and the urine is light colored and there are no complaints, she is probably fine.
My almost 5 year old I would say also goes somewhere between 4 - 6 times per day, depending on how much she drinks.
i have a 5 yr old and that kid would hold it forever if I didn't remind her to go! Honestly she goes 3-4 times a day and pees good each time. My neice pees 10 times a day and it seems like just a little tinkle! So who pees more?? Got me but if there is no fever, itching or pain and she is drinking ( my child does not like plain water) in my simpleton opinion she sounds ok to me! If your worried as her doc just for your ease of mind. What's normal for one child doesn't have to be protype for everyone! We are all different mama!
