Hello everyone...my daughter who is almost 21 months old has little red bumps on her tush cheeks. I have dealt with diaper rash before and I really don't think that is what this is. They look like little tiny pimples. Any suggestions or how to treat or what it is?? I would appreciate any suggestions!!
Thank you all for your suggestions. Just wanted you to know that now that is has cooled off the last couple of days the bumps are better. I also put powder on her tush to try and keep it dryer! Thanks so much!

Hi S.,
Maybe a yeast infection? About a month ago I noticed little white pimples on my daughters private parts. She is lucky and never had a diaper rash, so I thought that's what it might be. I did a little research online and called my ped. It turned out to be a yeast infection. My first thought was, I'm a bad mom to let this happen. It's caused from a number of things: 1. moist diapers (I'm a 1st time mom and probably change her too much), 2. change in her diet (I had recently started giving her 1/2 formula & 1/2 breastmilk). My ped prescribed Lotrimin. Yes weird, it's to treat jock itch, athlete's foot, etc. IT WORKED. Within a few days it was gone. Now I keep it on hand just in case. I'm not suer what type of diaper cream you use, but we love Buttpaste.
Good luck.
Hi S.,
Sounds like a heat rash to me. My kids got that a lot because I kept my house at a warm toasty 80 degrees and I had them wrapped up tight all the time. To my knowledge, this happens when they get very hot and sweaty.
My advice is, if this sounds familiar, let her walk around diaperless once in a while and bathe her more often. The bath will be soothing on her butt. It worked for my kids.
You can also ask your pediatrician the next time you take her in for her immunizations.
good luck

It sounds like prickly heat to me. When it gets warm especially with a diaper on my kids have gotten this rash.
My first thought was a heat rash too. If it doesn't go away after a couple of days you might ask your pediatrician about it, as it could also be any number of things.
