She could probably contact the cancer society and get suggestions where to send the money and how to become involved
My 9yr old daughter wants to raise money for cancer and give to ACH, I was wondering how do we go about doing this, she is really set on this and has a jar made up for donations. Any ideas and help would be great.

If she really wants to help a family she can actually track, go to caringbridge.org/visit/elliepotvin
This is a 7 yr old twin with a rare tumor. She is a friend of a friend and I have followed the story since she was diagnosed. They need funds like everyone else with cancer. Good luck and you have a really nice daughter.
what an amazing little girl you have. I am acutally a team leader for the American Cancer Society. we have a local event every year called Relay for Life. Each team sets up a campsite. We have a theme and slogan and everything. We decorate our campsite with our theme and sell things to raise money for the American Cancer Society. I work for a drs office, so inside each office we sell homemade brownies, and muffins, and blankets, and little things like that for our patients to buy.If your daughter is really into this, you or her can give me a call or email and I can tell you more about the local event. We live in Cape Coral FL but I am FOR SURE they have these events everywhere. please feel free to email me any time. ____@____.com
A child in our area did this by having a yard sale. She had neighbors donate things so it could be big and put ads in the newspaper. All her signs said the money would be donated to the American Cancer Society.
What a sweetheart to want to do her part to help! I'm with a company called Homemade Gourmet and we sell food mixes--I can give you more information and details if you are interested but I'm always up for doing a fundraiser...and being it's for such a great cause all the more! You can email me at ____@____.com if you would like some more info on the company etc. Good luck with your fundraising!
She could start with something simple, and work her way up if she's still determined. We pull a ridiculous amount of change out of our dryer, the couch, etc. So we have a jar sitting on the dryer that it all goes into. Even my family occasionally empty their pocket change into it when they are here. She might be able to ask someone like her pediatrician or dentist to allow her to put it on their counter as well. But if she does that, you may want to provide them with information on how you are donating the money. It's very grown up of her to want to do that.
