Bronzer...self tanner....A good one..Jergens isn't bad....Mary Kay is very good....Regardless...you are who you are and tough tootsies if you have pale legs...so what... :)
...but it's HOT outside! My husband and I are going to a baseball game tonight and it's suppose to be in the upper 70's, definitely shorts weather! But my legs are glow in the dark white.
So, do you still wear shorts if you don't have a tan? I know it's kind of a silly question, but it seems like everyone I see wearing shorts has perfectly bronzed legs. I feel like I'm breaking some fashion law by wearing shorts with my day-glo legs.
You are all great!!!! I did wear the shorts :) Nobody even looked twice. :D

There's nothing wrong with white legs! Especially now when skin cancer is so prevalent! If you are really concerned, a nice long flowing skirt will still give you the cool breezes or a tan-in-a-can, self tanner should work fine. There are so many good ones out there! Good luck. Have fun!
PSHT, I glow in the dark 365 days a year. Red hair and freckles, right here. I'm SEE THROUGH I'm so pale... but I'm comfortable in my own skin, and rock the whiteness!! I say go for it :) You could always wear a sexy little shirt and, you know, kind of show off the ladies a little bit... it would definately take the attention off your legs!! ;)
Buy a self tanner lotion. Avoid knees and ankles, wash hands immediately. Or splurge and go get a spray tan. You are not breaking any rules, but if you are self concious about it, treat yourself. While you're at it, buy yourself a pretty sundress and new sandals.
get some self tanning lotion and rock those shorts!
nothing wrong with white legs. They arent pasty! LOL. Wear colors like pink, light purple or whatever, not white or black, that compliment your skin. The only fashion laws being broken are people who put self tanner on their legs only LOL or have it in orange streaks...
haha oh i definitly still wear shorts. but dont feel so bad! going tanning is bad for you. might as well get your sun the old fashioned way. alot of us still do!!!!!!
i even see alot of girls with white white legs wearing shorts. its not such a big deal.
The only way to get color is to wear the shorts. I would wear them and put sunscreen on them. (baseball games are a good place for sun burn.) I am in shorts and have the day glow legs.
Embrass your whiteness! Yeah, people judge (especially here in CA). But why is it okay for us to say whitenes is ugly? It's reverse racism, seriously. Just because I'm of Scottish decent I have to risk skin cancer in order to wear shorts? I don't think so. I hate how my legs look too and I'm incredibly self conscious but it is a dumb social construct. So, I feel you, but keep on keepin on my fellow pasty sister!
I call the upper 70s cold and I live in North Carolina (my skin has literally been used as an ice pack).
If you want shorts wear them. I'm pale as the moon and couldn't care less. Just means I'm not burnt and, unlike my Californian dad, I'm not going to get skin cancer. I only wear shorts to bed right now, but that's because the only shorts I have are gym shorts and pajama bottoms. I'll get shorts tomorrow when I go to the mall. Besides, how are our legs supposed to ever get even a hint of a natural tan if we keep them covered?
wear the shorts and embrace your ivory skin (think of all the romance novel heroines ... they all have beautiful ivory skin LOL). I'm a redhead with green eyes so tan is NOT in my vocabulary and I hate self tanners ... so I just go around white :)
Ok this a slight pet peeve of mine but ... it's not REVERSE racism. The meaning of the word racism is to hate/judge someone on the basis of their race. The REVERSE of that would be to acceptance. Sorry vent over ... like I said ... a pet peeve of mine.
Yes, wear the shorts. Self tanners work also. I actually feel like tans are out of style sometimes around here, because of all the known dangers of the sun/skin cancer.
Be proud of white legs - it means you are not getting skin cancer. I don't understand why people think they need to look tan. It's nuts.
Wear the shorts! :)
I long for the day's of upper 70's! We're rocking the 90's with heat index of 101 right now! As far as with legs, don't worry about it. I never do. I wear shorts when we go out and don't care what other people think.
If you never wear shorts because you are worried about your white legs, how do you expect to get a tan?
Wear the shorts, you will be glad that you did! My legs are also pasty (Irish skin) and I have long-since given up on having bronze stems. I will say that the Jergens tinted moisturizer does work really well, but it takes several days to "build up".
I am whiter than a ghost and I wear shorts when i am hot. i would rather be pasty than tan and get sun damage or skin cancer. I don't tan or do tanning beds. tanning oils etc. Don't worry about it---if your husband isn't bothered, you shouldn't be bothered either! His opinion of you is the one that counts. I am sure he will find you just as attractive in shorts- GL!

Hot? You think 70*+ is hot? LOL!
I wear shorts tan or not. Being tanned isn't even "in." Fair complexions that won't be tainted later by sun spots, excessive freckling and possible cancerous moles are in. :-)
You live in ohio of course they are pasty! Either embrace it and wear shorts or you could get a spray tan.
Yes I wear shorts. I rarely have a tan because of my coloring. Plus I don't care what other's think. As a mother of 4, I don't think anyone is looking at my legs anymore plus I only want my husband noticing.
I dont...I am transparent white though...I have always been a little self conscience about my pasty color...I have great bronzer I bought at Lush...It is called Charlotte Island. It is amazing! I hardly ever shave my legs anymore so, I have yet to use it on my legs....this summer will be my tester for it!!
Oh, yeah, baby! Wear those shorts!!
I show off my white legs with pride! Whoo-hoo! Look at me!! Sun-damage free!! Not only my legs, but the rest of me, too. Because I've protected my face, people never believe me when I tell them how old I am!
Keep wearing that sun block, and if you really feel self conscious about your legs, go the self tanner route. But remember, self tanners do NOT block the damaging rays, so you still need to put on sunblock.
Have fun at the game!
