It could be a number of things. I would ask the doctor what they think. My sons had 5th disease when he was little and then impetigo last year and both had bumps of some sort.
Tis the season.
Notice it this morning! He has had a cold for days now and all of the sudden he has these pumps...could he be allergic to the puffs with lotion? or might it be something more serious..NO FEVER at all

My daughter has very sensitive skin. She gets bumps on her face from the cold wind hitting her face. Sometimes it will get to her hands if her gloves are off. I use something called Rosebud Salve. Usually takes away the bumps within a day or two of continual use. You can find a version of it at Bath and Body Works. It's around $5 and looks like a tin of lip salve. Can be used on a variety of skin ailments.
He could be allergic to the puffs. I would switch to a warm rag or even just soft toilet paper and keep moisturising with vaseline or the product I mentioned above. I also use the creamy version of vaseline (or petrolium jelly). I use whatever store brand is available if any. Works well and doesn't burn like lotion can on chapped/irritated skin.
If he is in pain or the rash seems to bother him a lot, or looks crusty from puss or bleeding then I would call the doctor to make sure it isn't something else like impetigo.
Good luck! Hope he feels better :o)
Yes, he can be allergic to puffs. It is filled with chemicals. I would Get rid of the puffs..and all chemicals~
I would also go to the dr with any rash...
I am sure he will be fine, but let the Dr. check/and get rid of all chemicals
in your household. You will be happy!
Yes, he could be reacting to the Puffs w/ lotion. I agree with Tina L about the caustic chemicals in your home.
It could be anything. Check with the doctor just to make sure.
Last year my daughter had rosella. She had a fever though. The Dr. did mention with 5th and rosella most of the time the fever happens when they are sleeping than the rash appears.
My daughter has very dry skin, she gets a rash from rubbing or scratching it. The best thing for it is Eucerin's Aquaphore, its an ointment that comes in a white jar with a blue lid, look in the women's moisturizer isle at Walmart/Target.... Great stuff!
It could be a hundred things, from an allergy to the kleenex to measles to strep to chapped skin. Can't tell without either seeing it or seeing it and culturing.
Doctor time.
Sounds like hand foot and mouth...it comes along with what seems to be a cold, it`s a virus. I have a daycare and it comes through every year. Nothing they can do. if it makes you feel better call your dr. I THINK that`s the one that COULD effect pregnancy? You can always call and ask
are the bumps red and swollen looking or do they look more like "goose bumps"?
Please take your child to the doctor. Rashes can indicate a variety of things, and better safe than sorry.
I would have him checked just to make sure? It could be a reaction it could be something viral or could even be something more serious so i would have it checked.
