Most of the kids at my son's school used nap mats from http://www.croaktotes.com and they look very cute. I sewed my son's so I didn't buy one but the croak totes do look adorable... and they are made locally.
Hope this helps.
Where can I get a good nap mat, not too cheap in quality, but less than $50?
Thank you to everyone for their great advice. I actually called up Kelly from Croaktotes.com and she made M. a beautiful napmat that M. son absolutely loves!!! If anyone else needs a nap mat, contact her!

Go to www.napmat.com = they have decent mats for $39.99 +shipping. Good Luck.
Kelly makes them and monograms them. I've seen her at some craft fairs.

A little about me:
I'm a SAHM with a 15 month old girl, who amazes me on a daily bases. I distribute personalized CD for children in my not so spare time www.kiddosdelight.com. I'm looking to meet other stay at home moms with a child or children around my dauthers age.
lakshore learning co. has lots of diff nap mat choices decently priced. they also have a ton of other stuff that is absolutly wonderful for children (especially the early childhood ages). here's the website:
god bless,

ps: i have seen some at wallmart before to but i'm not sure what type they were
Walmart had them for 6.95 and Toys R Us had them for 5.95. They are the same ones a friend of mine use and they seem to hold up really well.
I saw some nap mats at the Target on 377 in their back to school section a week or two ago. I'm sorry but I don't know how much they were, but hopefully on sale now that school started.
