I would recommend Miss Jessie's http://www.missjessies.com/, their products are great! Or you can try Carol's daughter and that site is www.carolsdaughter.com/. The thing about Carol's daughter is that her products are all natural. HTH!
Hey Gals,
I need advice from NATURALLY CURLY haired Moms or Mom's with curly haired daughters. What product do you use to maintain the curl? My daughter has natural spiral curls. Although they look good from the start, they tend to frizz by the middle of the day. We live on the Gulf Coast (humidity) if thats a factor in choosing the product. I have already used Paul Mitchell, Tresomme and a few others to boot. Frizz seems to be my enemy!!!!!!
Thanks in advance!! :)

I just us a leave in conditioner. Not expensive. If we are going to a party or having pictures done we use the be curly and a little frizz ease but usually the fructis leave in conditioner works just fine for us.
I have found two ways to conrtol the frizz. One cheap, one expensive.
Aveda makes awesome products for their "Be Curly" line. Try the shampoo and conditioner; the two styling products. I also like the "gel" they make - whihc they call "confixor".
Cheap route: olive oil. I was amazed how much it helped. If you have super oily hair, this may not be an option. But even a tad, smoothed over all, will really control those curls. Just don't apply too much near the scalp, so you don't have weighted hair.
Good luck!
Regardless of the product you use, the enemy of curly hair is touch! When you get her hair wet in the morning, put the product in and then leave it alone. scrunching a couple of times as it drys is okay, but it's better to let it dry completely (could even blowdry) then scrunch a little.
Not sure the texture of your daughter's hair, but I love a product called MixedChicks which is a favorite of both me and my best friend (both biracial). They have a whole product line, but the main thing is the leave in conditioner. You put it in her hair wet, don't comb and then let it dry. You can find it at www.mixedchicks.net (careful not to put .com... that's not a haircare site :-/ )
Hope this helps.
My daughter has extreme curls, and we love Aveda's Be Curly line...a little of the cream in damp hair keeps the curls all day.
My daughter has curly hair, and we also like the Aveda Be Curly products. Also, John Freida's Frizz Ease works pretty well. You have to put it on their hair when the hair is completely wet. I had a roommate in college with super-thick, curly hair, and she used Frizz Ease. Her hair always looked great!
We tried a product that we bought at Sephora called Living Proof - no Frizz (shampoo and conditioner). It was expensive, smelled awful, and we found it didn't work any better than anything else we've tried. My daughter prefers Fekkai Brilliant Glossing shampoo and conditioner. It leaves her hair shiny and soft.
I'm curious to see the other responses, too. We're always looking for new products to try!
We use Aphogee Gloss Therapy and just a regular spritz of spray gel/mousse of any kind. I like Pantene's smell. We're having really dry winter weather right now and static is the enemy here. I find the silicone in the Gloss Therapy coats the hair and the gel/mousse keep's it is in line.
I get the Aphogee at Sally's.
