I want to get our babysitter something for x-mas, maybe around a $20 gift. I have no idea what teenage girls are into these days. I was thinking a gift card but not where to get it from. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

I have a soon to be 14 yr old and a 17 yr old who sometimes comes over.

You got some good ideas from the Carolyn. I usually stay away from clothing stores because I don't know their "style" and it changes day to day.. I know for the longest time, my daughter wore nothing but Abercrombie and now she does not touch it...

Gift cards are great and here are some favorites that daughter has given and received............Best Buy, I-Tunes, Starbucks, movies, a general card for a mall where she can buy from any store in the mall (Stonebriar has these but I think they start at $50, Willow Bend Mall has a gift card available), I like the gas card idea if she has a car...that would really be nice.

Happy Holidays!!

If you want to do a gift card, you could get one of the master card ones that can be used anywhere. Or just give her cash. That was my favorite as a teenager!

I will agree with those who said cash --- always a perfect fit, always the right color, and it's accepted everywhere.

Hi N.,
I think cash is the best. I received a gift one time with one dollar bills rolled up with curly ribbon holding each dollar bill in the bottom of a littl gift bag. It was a cute way to give cash. I have given money in this same way to children for their birthdays and they all really liked it. Twenty one dollar bills looks like a lot in the bottom of a small gift bag.

Just an idea.

yeah, if you're not concerned w/ disguising the amount spent on her gift, like the prev.poster said -- cash works!

last year I got my babysitter a gift card to Bath and body works. It comes in a cute holder and we put it in with some treats we made. She really liked it. Another thing we have done for her was a popcorn tub with a couple of cokes and some candy in it and a 10 or 15 dollar gift card to blockbuster. Not sure what Im getting her this year. Good luck
