I see Dr. Angela Moore in Arlington also. She may be in and out of a room quickly, but she is very aggressive. If she suspects anything, she gets rid of it and has it tested. She knows her stuff!
Hi moms,
I am wondering if anyone knows of a good dermatologist in the Arlington, Mansfeild, or even HEB area. I cannot get my face under control after getting off birth control. I am even wondering if maybe I have an allergy to wheat. I have tried Proactive(which worked but I don't know how great it is, healthwise) and now I'm using a soap from a natual store, NOT working at all. I start back working again soon and I need to clear up my face. Any help or ideas would be appriciated! Thanks!

I work for a deramtologist in Grand Prairie. I have been there for 6 yrs and I have heard great reviews from patients. Give us a call if interested. ###-###-####. Our address is 3155 S Carrier Pkwy. We are located about 1 mile north of I-20. Im sure we can help with your acne but be aware that it take stime to get acne under control atleast 6-8 wks to see a 50% improvement while on treatment. So patience will be the most important thing.Hope to see you soon. V. P.S I think sonmeone recommended Dr. Angela Moore, not to be rude but I have heard bad things about her and we see alot of her patients who arent happy with her treatments. But every Dr. is different and the fact that she might be agressive doesnt mean she's good.
I really like the lady I go to. She is actually the Physician Assistant, Lisa, who used to work for Dr. Angela Moore. She now works for a different Dr. (Mullinax I think). I felt she spent a little more time with me than Dr. Moore, plus she is also very Christian oriented and super kind.
If the Proactive worked for you, I highly recommend you keep using it. I have been using Retin-A for years to keep my skin clear. I had to stop using it when I got pregnant, but used the a generic of Proactive (Acne Free), the dermatolgist said that was safe while I was pregnant, so I think it should be okay as far as healthwise. I would try that first for bacteria and maybe also use something with glycolic acid and/or salicylic acid during the day for exfoliation and keeping the pores clear. Even at the dermatologist, they use a lot of medications with Benzoil Peroxide just like in Proactive, so you may as well start with that.
If you still need some help, I recommend going to see Lisa (she has a long last name I can't spell that starts with an O). She works in the USMD builing at I-20 and Matlock. The number is ###-###-#### and she also works out of another Arlington location I can't think of at the moment. She'll help you figure out a good combination to help clear you up. Good Luck.
Hi! Dr. David Miller in Bedford is great. My whole family goes to him and we have for years. The only drawback is that it takes awhile to get an appt. Too, I'm not sure if he's accepting new patients. Definitely check into it, though. There's a cancellation list, so maybe you won't have to wait very long. He's located across from HEB Hospital. Good Luck!
I've seen Dr. Jerald Sklar for several years. He rotates between several offices in the Metroplex.
My adult acne turned out to be mostly cystic rosacea which has been easily and inexpensively controlled with a low dose antibiotic when I have a flare up and a clear gel that I apply as part of my facial cleansing routine. It has no weight to it and you can use moisturizer and makeup over top of it.
I also learned that I was stuck in my teens when it came to thinking about my skin care. Combination skin or oily skin. It never occurred to me that I needed more moisturizer and less scrubbing and cleaning! When I started hydrating my skin, I had a quick turnaround.

I am new to the area and had a spot on my arm I just thought was ugly, so I did some research and found an outstanding Derm in Arlington named Dr. Angela Moore. She has wonderful creditials and is smart and accurate. She will educate you, and do everything in her power to fix whatever problem your having. In her office there are always clinical trials to get involved in depending on if your interested.
The phone number is 817-795-SKIN
and her website is...
My spot ended up being Malignant Melanoma and after testing and pathology, she was quick to remove it and refer me to an Oncologist. I am very happy in the fact that she does not have a God complex. Matter of fact, when you walk into her office you will notice that she is a Christian woman and is not ashamed of it. I love that.
Anyway after that long ramble, I hope this helps.

I've seen a fantastic dermatologist named Dr Steven Pedro for about 6 years and he has treated my rosacea to the point that no one knows I have it. However, his office has moved to south Fort Worth, so it would not be as convenient for you.
Dr. Angela Moore in N. Arlington off Lamar near collins
I use Dr. Farris in Hurst. He is wonderful. He treats me for acne and rosecea. He also treats my husband and my mom. My mother has had malignant melanoma, so he is very thorough when checking both of us. He is with Northeast Tarrant Dermatology. They have a website and there are two other doctors there. It's a great clinic.
I recently had to go to Mansfield Dermatology and they were great! I highly recommend it.
Good Luck!
