You might try Gagas.com.....you can rent formal wear for great prices. I did this for my son when he was in a wedding last year.
Hi moms,
My best friend is getting married in mid-October. I requested my son not stand up in the wedding, since I am Matron of Honor.(too much work) However I want him to look as dapper as possible. In the past I have always gotten suits of excellent quality at SYMS on Milwaukee, but I've been there twice and they have all sizes BUT 6! They usually have Nautica, Calvin Klein etc for $50-$80. I bought a suit once from one of those kid places that specialize in dressy clothes at the mall, but the quality was so cheesy and polyester, yuck! I checked with some of the dept. stores on the North Shore like Macy's etc, but I could only find size 8 in a black or gray suit. Anyone know of other discounters that would carry good brands and size 6 for under $100? (at this time of year, not quite Christmas season ya know) OR do you have one that you would like to part with in great condition??? Any assistance is appreciated! Thanks in advance :)
Thanks everyone! I went last night to Burlington Coat Factory in Glenview and found the perfect suit and it will match my brown dress. Calvin Klein, my favorite brand, brown with beige pin stripes and for $49.99! Good price and nice detailing. Now for the shoes.... I need brown, I'll start a new search today for those. I already bought black ones at Kohl's before finding the suit, oh well.
Thanks everyone for their input!!! :)

Hi J.,
I know Nordstrom has suits down to 3T. Good Luck!
i've found a few at jc penney's in my time of need. also, try a tuxedo rental store. i looked into it over the summer for my son as well and they had sizes i need but i ended up finding somewhere else. good luck!
Hi,
JC Penney has some great suits and often on sale for great prices.
Good luck

I would buy from Target before spending a penny in Macys. They are a high priced department store that does not sell top quality merchandise like the former Marshall Fields was. Fields was costly but carried the top of the crop in all of their departments. Try Sears. They do alterations. You also could check into seamstresses to make a childs suit. Good luck.
A children's clothing store that has anything one would want to buy should have what you are looking for, and at reasonalbe prices. Interesting, it's on the south side..On 95th street in
Evergreen Park. Martinelli's Children's Wear. The phone # is ###-###-####. Ask for Joan. I'm sure you can find what you want there.
I rented a suit for my son and nephew (1 yr and 6 months) from a website gagas.com. Great quailty and reasonable prices. The rental is for 3 weeks and you can extend for extra charge if needed. Better than paying a ton of money on something you'll only use once.
maybe Man's Warehouse? I'd call.
I would try Burlington Coat Factory. I have never had to buy a little boy's suit but I bought my daughter a flower girl dress there. It was very high quality and inexpensive.
I have found suits at children's resale shops. They usually have been worn once. There are plenty in the area. Check the yellow pages.
Try Lord & Taylor, Macy's or Carson's. They usually have those sets with the suit, shirt & tie and they are always on sale. I bought my son one last summer at Lord & Taylor and it was really cute. It was Claiborne and really inexpensive ( reg $80 /more than 50% off). Good luck.
