Hi Moms -
I'd like to get a bounce house or something similar for my son's 4th birthday. Our backyard is somewhat oddly shaped, so the only space we have is 10x10. I can't seem to find any bounce house rentals that are less than 11x11. Anyone know whether I am searching in vain? Suggestions? Thanks!

What can I do next?

It sounds like your yard is just too small. Can you find another venue?

Can you do it at a park instead?

Are you friendly with your neighbors? If so, you could ask if they might lend you some space for the bounce house. Or maybe do it in the front yard? Otherwise it's probably not gonna work :( It's not only the space the actual bouncy takes up, but there's also the pump/motor, and then there needs to be adequate room to tie it down. Sorry!

We put ours in the front yard. Put some tables and chairs in the driveway for the parents that want to watch, open the back gate and the party is in both front and back. It has worked every time and it does not feel like your guests are separated. Have fun

my advice not related to your problem.

Please always have 1 Adult supervising the inside. Whether it's 3 yr olds or 10 yr olds, if there are too many kids or 1 kid is too crazy, SOMEONE will get hurt. So it's always important to have eyes watching and keeping everyone safe.

You can buy one from One Step Ahead for the cost of a rental (about $125). They're smaller...and then you get to use it going forward!

My SIL did this and it's proved to be awesome! :)
