I went to a gyno's office and got tested and my hormones are all horrible. They tried to help me for 3 mos but I am getting worse so they said I need to an endocrinologist. I called christiansen center and they are booked until mid Dec. I called one in coppell and they are booked until Jan, a few others are pretty booked also. The ones that are more open only deal with mostly diabetes and other areas. I need one for perimenopausal and maybe thryoid now since my hair is falling out by the handful. If I wait a few months I won't have any hair left. There is one lady in Irving but she doesn't take insurance and her prices are thousands of dollars, which I just can't do. I am going crazy and bald and I need help, will travel all around Dallas, lewisville, carrollton, flower mound, plano, or frisco area.

So What Happened?

Okay, I will call my OB's office and ask if they can call the place that they told me to call and get me in faster. Also, I had called the endocrinology associates but they were out and I got a message but I can try them again also. It says not to stress because that can make your hair fall out faster but that is really hard to do. Plus, now I think my daughter has something wrong and I might want to get her tested for gluten allergy so I need to do all of that also. I am taking a deep breath ladies, wish me luck and thanks for your help.

UPDATE....10-3 well I called a few endocrinologists offices back and asked about emergencies and if I could get my dr. to call and refer me if I could get in sooner and they said no. So, Finally got in with a 3rd one but I didn't like her much during the visit, so I left. I ended up going to a a general practictioner and luckily he has lots of patients with thyroid problems and he has has hypothryroid himself which helps but not so sure about the hormonal issues but least I got in somewhere and my hair is still falling out, so hopefully these meds will finally bring that to a stop, I am borderline right now looking like I just have thin hair but in a few more weeks it will look like thinning hair. I am hoping for the best right now.

Naprotechnology trained fertility doctors work well with hormones. In fact that is what Naprotechnology is, a study of the female hormones. I had my hair falling out my thyroid was not functioning correctly and they were able to pull it back around. Go to the Pope Paul the VI Institute web sight and see if you have a doctor trained near you.

Call your OB's office, explain the problem, and have THEM call and make the appointment. All offices save appointment times for direct referrals (another office scheduling and appt). That way priority cases get appointments quickly, and people who are on timetables (for surgeries, continuity of care, etc.) get seen in the correct "order".
