The spray-on Neutrogena is the bomb! Easy to cover a squirmy moving target and since it is non-greasy it stays on.
My dermatologist recommends it too because it has helioplex
All sunscreens need to be kept away from the eyes.
Hi Everyone,
We have moved to Boca Raton, Florida and need to find a good sunscreen/sunblock for my 19month old and 3 1/2 year old that is non-greasy, and will stay put without becoming slippery in the water.
I may need 2 separate ones....one for running around and another for playing in the water.
I have found that the ones I've tried are messy to put on and stay so greasy. Then once they are in the water it's a slippery mess!
Help!
**Please advise on brands I can purchase in a store...drugstore, Target etc.
Thank you!

We love Aveeno Baby! It's not greasy (at first I was nervous because it seemed like there was nothing there!) but it's a really high SPF (70 and above) and it works very well. Always reapply after being in the water, but it IS waterproof. We also like Coppertone for kids 70+. Both of those work really well and neither become slippery in the water.
One note -I've found that the spray ons seem to become slipperier when wet than creams/lotions.
We also love Neutrogena! I use the adult more on myself and my husband, but my youngest is really fair, so I got a baby 90+ for the beach last year, and it was also really good. I am still using it on him this year -face, ears, neck, scalp -and the spray on Aveeno for his body. His older brother tans really easily, but we use the Coppertone and Aveeno spray on him too.
California Baby
Blue Lizard
neutragena pure and free sunblock stick
banana boat is i believe the best. J.
I really like the Aveeno continuous spray.
I'd ask the pharmacist at the store the next time you go. They may be able to help you understand the ingredients and get you the right product.
Though quite pricey, our dermatologist recommends Vanicream. How well it stays on in water, I'm not sure of, but it is a lotion and is not greasy at all. We actually thought it was a lotion with sunscreen added until we found out it IS the sunscreen.
I LOVE NEUTROGENA!! I use the baby formula for my baby and pre-schooler (SPF 50 or 55 I think) and the super duper formula (hydroplex I think) with an SPF 70 for myself. The baby formula is a bit thick so use it in moderation but it does not hurt my kids' eyes and it is hypoallergenic and it REALLY WORKS! I live in AZ so we are sunscreen-aholics and in the pool all the time!
I love Aveeno Baby, and Neutragena Ultra Sheer.
We love the bullfrog quick spray in spf 50. My son, daughter and hubby are all blond haired and fair skinned. Nothing else seems to work for them. The quick spray goes on very fast and dries almost immediately - which is great with my squirmy kids. We live in Texas and are big in to spending time outdoors, no one has gotten a sunburn in our family in years, because we are diligent about putting it on before we head out and reapplying regularly.
