Option 2 would try this with a brown paper grocery bag and stuff with crumbed newspaper, damped the outside of the paper bag with water and try and shape into a half circle. When dry paint with temper paint and use a magic marker to make the black dots about 3" circles. You chould use elastic to attach to waist or belt. A head band and pipe cleaners for antenna. Children have such an imagination they will believe this is beautiful. The first Option is much more prettier. But please first add up the supplies for Option 1 for everything and it may be cheaper to just buy a Lady Bug costume from www.buycostumes.com . I also buy costumes after Halloween at 75% off , then store for next year. They also make dress for girls and so cheap.
