Hi C.! I just moved to Texas in June because of my husband's job as well. I have not made any close friends yet and I am pretty lonely as well. I have a lot of acquaintances but for some reason just having trouble making it to the friend level. I also have 3 children and I am going to nursing school in the fall. We should get together for a play date sometime.

Hello C.! I am in the same boat...well sorta...I had my first son at age 21 and none of my friends had children yet. Well let's just say he made me grow up REAL fast and become a responsible adult while most of my friends are still partiers with nothing really holding them in place. So...if you ever need someone...I AM HERE!!

You can also try searching Yahoo Groups for a mom's group. There are several of them out there in the area. I did that shortly after my son was born becuase all my friends were single and had no kids, and I wanted to meet more mom's.
