I'm having a hard time coming up with gift ideas for my husband. I have several smaller gifts for him, but, usually try to get him a couple bigger gifts. So far, I have one big gift and that's a new golf club. Any ideas? What are ya'll doing for your DH's this year?

FYI, he's into: Ice Hockey (he's a coach/player/part time zamboni driver), goft, woodworking

He already has all the electronics he needs, shoes, clothes, phone, computer, etc. I just can't come up with anything.

Oh and his daily job is a chef.

What can I do next?

Hubby is a bit of a gamer so I got him a video game.

One thing that I did last year and will most definitely do this year are coupons. I know its cheesy but.... the man buys for himself and doesn't give me much chance *sigh

The coupons I did were for nights out with friends(a friend that I don't like particularly), for dinners on me, and beer for sports, he likes beer when he watches the soccer game, so I get it for him, and things like that. He really liked it so I'm doing it again this year. :)

My husband is also a golfer, and he is ALWAYS reminding me that a fantastic gift would be a punch card for his favorite course. Can you do that?

I just bought my husband 30 for 30, which is a documentary series from ESPN. It has 30 stories that highlight athletes or something great that occurred in the sports world. Wayne Gretsky either narrates or hosts Vol. 1.

something to do together...tickets to a hockey game? MOst of us don't need more stuff. I have to say, this year we are making donations to our favorite charities because of this...and we are so grateful for what we have.

Woodworking........there are tons of tools, how about gift card for a "specialty" lumber store with upper grades of wood not found in ordinary "box" stores.

A couple's trip to spa for the works, massage, etc.
Weekend getaway, trip to play golf, or lessons from a Pro.

I like activiities since most presents go to waste the first few are pretty cheap and then there are some pricier
1. Flying lessons- they are sometimes 50 or less, and include an hour of time in the sky flying (no take of or landing obviously) and info about the plane
2. paintball trips with friends to relive the old days? - its rather cheap an you can J. call a buddy or two and see if they're in
3. tickets to a hockey, football, or baseball game
4. concert tickets
5. suprise weekend getaway to go to a mountain lodge
6. tickets for skiing or snow tubing
7. tickets to a museum with something of interest to him
8. some fancy wood for his hobby? idk if there is special kinds he likes that cost more..or a tool for it
9. a photo album of his coaching get the kids to email you pics?- this might be last minute but could work for a future present
10. some fun clothes for you to suprise him in?

I was having this same problem myself last month. I got mine a really nice bottle of cologne that makes me weak in the knees, a couple of video games, a box set of the 3 Stooges, & a pair of polarized Oakley's. It's not a ton of stuff, but it's considerably more than we've done in recent years.

How about a new grill or grill accessory? Or a gift card to Top Golf in Allen. Also, look at Brookstone. They have neat gift ideas.

You could also set up a dinner at a great restaurant. Maybe, he'd like to go out and have someone else cook for him.

Does he like to fly? I got my hubby a ride in a aerobatic airplane at the small airport in McKinney. He LOVED it. There is also the race car ride that you can purchase - I think it's in Arlington. You can probably google it.
