Got my first traffic ticket! $350($500 baseline - 1st time offender discount) +$50 administrative fee to go to traffic school (so no point/record in my DMV file). OMG! And finally the $15 online traffic school few if I choose this option.
My question is, is online traffic school the best option? what about offline schools?
Anyone has experience to share?
I had to go to traffic school and found the interaction with the other people in attendance and the helpful hints and rules from the instructor were very helpful. I know it is hard to get away with a need for a baby sitter but it is time well spent.
I also got my first, and hopefully only, ticket last year. I used www.toolazyfortrafficschool.com and it was so easy and convenient since I have a toddler and full-time job. Good luck!
Hi there.....Online traffic school will be fine....My son got his first ticket and did online traffic school...It takes quite a bit of your day...and you can do it in a couple of days if need be...Its easy...especially if you have children...You can do it on YOUR TIME...
Oh and by the way...going to traffic school is sometimes very boring and unless you have an intense interest in learning about traffic,safety and driving rules of the road...or..the instructor is a comedian, you will find yourself wishing you had taken the online version!! Just go online and look for traffic school online...You call the number on the ticket and they will fill you in on what you need to do. Its all pretty easy...Hope this helps
I would definitely go online. The benefit to it, other than the "luxury" of doing it from your own home (or bed!), you could do it in phases. The whole nature of it allows you to log in and log off as you please. If you need a break, you can pause and come back to it later. It didn't need to happen all in one sitting. (Except when you are at the part to take a quiz/test, then obviously you need to finish it before 'pausing') I found this extremely helpful as I was home with a newborn.
In the beginning I had went to the classes, and found it to be a complete waste of time. Boring, long and a total drag. While I don't know the prices of those classes anymore, I'm pretty sure that online classes are cheaper. I've done the actual physical classes twice and then later the online classes also twice now (I know, I must be a horrible driver!) There isn't any online class I'd specifically recommend... I know that they (DMV) give you a list of traffic schools, and I just picked one from there.
I'd say online traffic school maybe the best option if you have a fulltime job.
