We have had some negative experiences with our pediatrician and have decided that it is time to move on to someone new. Can you ladies recommend some good pediatricians in the Fort Worth or HEB area? I would love to find someone who not only has a good bedside manner with children, but also someone who will be willing to TALK with me about my concerns and not blow off everything I bring up. I would also like to find someone who is open to us having a flexible vaccination schedule.
I really appreciate your help!! Thank you, ladies!!

I was at cooks children when my daughter was first born but i quickly realilzed how far below sub-par they were. I went to kidcare pediatrics afterwards and have never looked back! good luck!

We used Cooks in Hurst when my second daughter was born and I was completely unsatissfied-they just weren't on the ball, IMO. We switched to Dr. Julie Olivo, with Family Physicians of the Mid-Cities and absolutely loved her, she sees all three of my kids. HTH

I see a couple referrals to Cook Children Physicians Network docs in Hurst on Martin (off Precinct Line, behind the Cooks Urgent Care Center). That is where we go! Dr. Lopez is our pediatrician and we LOVE him! He is VERY attentive to my concerns and is very thorough. We've also seen Dr. Nash...once...love her too. I am also not sure about the vaccinations, as we just went with the recommended schedule. But, I don't see Dr. Lopez arguing that you have your child vaccinated as you wish. He is great!

I am not sure about the flexible vaccine schedule, but Cook Childrens Forest Park is awesome. They are even open on Sat. and Sun. The number is ###-###-#### we see Dr. Mercer, but I don't think he is taking new patients. There is a new doctor that just started in July (don't remember her name) she is taking new patients.

Dr. Sharon Dennis in Arlington is our doctor. She is a general practice do, but we use her as our pediatrician too. She will be completly fine with an alternative vaccine scedule (as we do) or even no vaccines (as friends of ours do). She will also listen to your concers, address them and respect your decisions as a parent.

We've used Cook's in Hurst (around Mid-Cities and Precent Line)for years. Several docs on staff to choose from (not sure who is accepting new patients) and a great nurse practioner. Not sure of their vaccine policy.

Our pediatrician, Dr Bruce Martin (MD) is part of the Cooks system and is now officed in Hurst. We have also see Dr Nash and she was excellent as well and is also officed there. We would heartily recommend either of them for you. I do not know their views on altering vaccination schedules since that is not something we sought to do (the less times of getting shots, the better in our opinions!)

Cook Children' by Harris HEB hospital. We've been with Dr. Valen Radimecky since our dd was born (5 1/2 years) He's nice and we like him a lot, but honestly prefer the Nurse Practitioner who is a DREAM. She is WONDERFUL with kids and will always take the time to answer any questions that you have without blowing you off or making you feel silly. Appointments are easy to get same day (usually within a couple of hours), wait times are short compared to other offices. They also have an evening and Saturday clinic, although I'm not so fond of the NP on staff then. I really love these people and hope to be with them until my baby is all grown up.

I am a mother of four and I understand the frustration with some pediatricians, oh yeah I am also a nurse.
I have finally found someone I have found to be a perfect fit for us. Dr. Fricker is with Kid Care Pediatric in Keller. Great with my kids and sitting down with me and listening to my concerns. Big improvement over others we have had in the past.
Good Luck
