Pediatrician in North Fort Worth, Keller Area

Dr.Benzick is in Southlake, but he is absolutely wonderful! I am about to have my 2nd baby and he will definitely be his ped as well. I live in Keller and he is off of 1709.

definitely go to kidcare pediatrics! they have a location in keller and north fortworth in summerfields. we tried cook children first and they were horrible. good luck and congrats!

That's how I did it. Go by references and then interview..interview...interview. We also love Kid Care - I highly recommend going to the Fossil Creek office, it's MUCH MUCH calmer there. The Keller office can get loud and crazy. But both offices have great staff and the doctors are great. We generally see Dr. Fricker but have seen Dr. Gomez (he started the practice and he's the one we interviewed) and Dr. Crary in addition to N.P. Wegner for a mild eye infection.

We just had a little boy in January and we took our OB's recommendation. His name is Dr. Deitchman and he has an office in Hurst. He's with Cook's Children's Physicans Network. We live in Saginaw, so we have to drive a little bit, but it's definitely worth it. I would recommend our pediatrician to anyone. My husband describes him as a human first and a doctor second. He puts things in simpple terms we can understand and takes time to listen to our every question, and as first time parents that's a huge plus! I don't cloth diaper, but I do exclusively breastfeed.

We go to Southlake Family Medicine too. Dr. Benzick is wonderful! I highly recommend him! He was recommended to us by my best friend's pediatrician that's in Rockwall. I believe he only takes newborns also. He's so caring and actually takes the time to answer any questions you have and his nurses are the best. Any time I have needed to get my daughter in the same day to see him, they have always fit us in. You can call and schedule an interview to meet him before you have the baby...that's what we did. My son who just turned three goes to Cooks Children in Keller and see Dr. Terk. We think he is awesome and he is also going to be our twins coming in May doctor. I'm not sure if he is accepting new patients, but all the doctors seem awesome!

Hi, I have a 3 month old daughter and absolutely love our pediatrician. This might be too far for you though, it's in Southlake, Southlake Family Medicine, Dr. Zwernemann. She's a woman and is so patient and answers all my hundreds of questions. She's very understanding and I would highly recommend her. I've also heard good things about Dr. Benzick in the same practice. To get her though you would have to select her from the beginning to come to the hospital otherwise she does not accept new patients.

I too currently go to kid care pediatrics and have since my son was born (he is now 6 years old). We started going when Dr. Gomez was the only doctor. I absolutely love him, however, his growing business has made it more and more difficult to see him. I usually get stuck with a nurse practioner or a different doctor every time I go. I am thinking of changing because of this since it can get aggravating seeing different doctors all the time. I insisted on seeing Gomez for my kids check up and they couldn't get me in for 2 months just for the checkup. He is usually very good in getting newborns, but it seems after that you are put aside. They are very good at getting you in the same day, but like I said, its with whoever is available. So....one question to ask in your interviews with the pediatricians if it is a concern of yours is if you will only see that doctor or if there is a chance you will have to see different doctors every time.

I really am pleased with my pediatrician. His office is with Kid Care Pediatrics. His name is Omar Gomez. He has an office in Keller and one off of Western Center. You can set up a prenatal meeting with him to get to know him and discuss your concerns and ask questions. Hope this helps. Good luck!

I have two girls (2 and 2 months) and they love both Dr Gomez and Dr Fricker. We have been going to them since my oldest daughter was 2 months. I have breastfed both my daughters and they are very supportive. I also had a problem with Colic with my second child and they were quick to assist with "non-medication" methods in order to help her be more comfortable and me get some sleep. They have a vaccination schedule that they follow, however if you do not belive in vaccinations you should be able to discuss your concerns. I have always been able to discuss any concerns I had without feeling dumb. Hope this helps

I have been going to Dr. W. Pierre Roberts at Grapevine Pediatrics. He is WONDERFUL. My son is 7 and has been seeing him since he was born, I got to meet with him before my son was born and then after that we switched my 4 year old at the time to him and she is 11 now and loves him. Dr. Omar Gomez is great also, but he is just expanding all the time. We saw him briefly with my first child.

I have to add my 2 cents. Initially, we had a pedi. and she moved when my son was 1 years old. The new doctor that took her place just got out of school and this is her first real job (I think). Her name is Dr. Nash and she is WONDERFUL!!!!!! She is part of Cooks Children's .. I guess it is N. Richland Hills or Hurst (not sure)- but it is the one off precinct line and mid cities (near Birdville High School).
I just love her- she has personally called my home, not once, but twice for issues with my son (once was just to give me some test results). And just recently, my son was ill and I called the morning of to get an appointment. Since it was last min. they set me up with the nurse practicioner. When we got there and we were walking back to the designated room- she saw us. A few min. later she came in to see us instead of the nurse practicioner... she said, since she had seen us she thought she would come by!!!! WOW!!

I suggest this list because all these doctors are open to alternate vaccination schedules (and likely avoiding vaccinations that are totally unnecessary, ineffective and damaging).

There are oodles of others from all around the world and many include discussions with medical professionals on this topic. So, please, please research this and find a doctor that will support your choices as a parent.

Even though they have removed mercury from childhood vaccines (it is still in flu shots), there are still other neurotoxins: aluminum, formaldehyde, etc. One important thing to consider is they will give your newborn a hepatitis B shot. Hepatitis B is for the most part sexually transmitted, so unless they think you've been promiscous or (used injected recreational drugs, which is the other primary mode of transmission), there should be no reason an infant needs that shot. The prevalence is incredibly low in the US. And, that shot can have negative side effects, including triggering autoimmune diseases in infants.

I learned all this the hard way, I followed the conventional wisdom that vaccinations save lives and have two sons that have two autoimmune diseases (celiac and hashimoto's thyroid disease). And, I was even more ignorant and they have amalgam fillings. I would really hate for other mothers to see their kids suffer like mine have - they spent 7 and 10 years respectively with chronic GI issues (including pain), joint pain, migraines, etc because the doctors were also ignorant about autoimmune diseases and what little it takes for them to be triggered. It is irresponsible IMHO that doctors aren't required to be thoroughly educated on the side effects of vaccinations. Sure, only 3% of the kids have obvious reactions (those are the stats provided by our Gov't), but far, far more have more subtle reactions that can take years to manifest. Also, consider that 3% is not a small number of our babies - if pediatrician has 1000 patients, 30 of them will statistically have very bad reactions to vaccinations. And, unfortunately, the docs are ignorant as to the genetic associations, thus they wouldn't even consider doing a gene test prior to vaccinating your child.

Anyways, I'm just providing this information as I think all parents have a right to know - my views are founded on the scientific medical literature (which is ignored when the gov't and pharmaceutical companies do their studies). And, one of the things that finally made me realize why vaccinations are unnecessary is when I learned that the diseases for which they are being given were actually on the decline before they started these mass vaccinations - the impetus wasn't a health organization - it was the pharmaceutical companies - who are protected by our govt from any responsibility for the damage their vaccines do to our children. And, just consider that less than 20% of the world population was ever vaccinated against smallpox, yet its been eradicated. So, the reductions in these diseases has nothing to do with vaccinations - it has to do with increased sanitation and understanding of how the diseases can be transferred, and thus educating both the medical community and the public.

I wanted to give a recommendation for Dr. Terk at Keller Cook Childrens. We found him because he was listed as top pediatrician in a magazine in 2005 (sorry I don't remember the publication).
We love him and his nurses. When we first had our son we saw a Dr. Amy at Cook Children's at Western Ctr. and Beach(I don't remember her last name). We did not like her at all and made the switch to Dr. Terk at 6 weeks.
