Need Tips for Getting Rid of the "Mask of Pregnancy"

When I was pregnant with my dd I noticed my skin started darkending on my cheeks and my forehead. After doing some reading I discovered that this was what they called the mask of pregnancy and that it would most likely fade after I had her. Well two years later I still have them. I was hoping maybe someone else had this happen and had used a product that helped to fade them. I am starting to get really self conscious about it. I can hide my forehead easily with my bangs, but it is hard to hide the ones on my cheek with makeup. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, just want to feel pretty again without these dark marks on my face.

What can I do next?

I am happy to report that microdermabrasion worked for me :) It can be kind of pricey, though. It's about $100 a session - I can't remember how many sessions it took for mine to go away...maybe 3?

what you have is called melasma or hyperpigmentation. it's very common and there are many products and procedures out there to help reduce the symptoms of it. my recomendation is to go to a dermatologist, especially one that has a medical spa. they will be able to suggest a product or procedure or a series of products to help. one thing to be aware of, nothing concerning your skin is going to be a quick fix. your going to have to commit to a treatment plan and stick with it. if you want some names of derms or product lines to help, message me and i'll be happy to tell you.

P.S. i'm not selling anything, i just happen to work in the field.

SAME problem, and since we went through infertility meds to have ours, mine started even before getting pregnant. Pevonia Botanika products have worked well for me, pricy but its all ive found that helps at all other than time.
