Dr Davine in the Copley Hospital is great & he has a female Dr that I hear is wonderful. My friend was just telling me that she found a new Dr. that she loves & come to find out it was the same office that my husband & I go to.
I'm struggling with finding a great general doctor for myself. Looking for a doctor that listens, spends more than 5 minutes with you, and is open to integrating complimentary medicine approaches not just pushing samples and/or otc drugs. Would prefer a female but open to anyone at this point and any where within the St Charles/Geneva/Batavia/Aurora/Naperville area. Thanks!

Hi,
We've been going to Dr. Robert Calabria in St. Charles (Valley Family Medicine) since my almost 5 year old was 10 mos. old. He is wonderful, as is the other doc in the practice (Dr. James Sanders). They both take their time with you. Answer all of your questions. Definitely open to other forms of treatment. Neither believe in pushing meds. Calabria is a D.O., Sanders is a M.D.
He is the midst of expanding his practice (taking over the office next door) and will be looking for a Nurse Practitioner for female issues if someone is not comfortable talking to the "men". I think he is even going to be adding another doc (he takes his time in doing this, wants the right person! He took 2 years to find Dr. Sanders and he is the perfect compliment to Calabria!!!) :D
My oldest has special needs and he has been so good to us in listening, understanding and helping us with her, even though this is not his speciality.
I highly recommend him! (FYI, he also won most distinguished doctor at Delnor a couple years ago).
I keep hearing really good things about Physician's Express on 64 near Randall. You might want to check it out. I hear it's a doctor who truly cares. My friend Nicole is a nurse for him. The practice is new, but I haven't heard a bad thing yet. All kinds of people are switching to him. Good luck.
Dr. Fahey at Geneva Family Practice is a great G.P. He's our family doctor, he delivered both of my sons, and he's their doctor. He always takes time to explain everything and seems like he actually cares. Plus he has kids of his own so he understands from a parent's point of view. The # is ###-###-####.
I have been a patient of Fox Valley Family Practice for over 10 yrs with Dr. Gina Lesnik and love that she actually addresses each issue you are having. On another positive note there are a total of 3 female Dr's in her office not to mention that they share an office with QUEST DIAGNOSTIC for any bloodwork your Dr might order so you actualy get your results 2x faster. She is also very thorough ~ we have also heard this from other doctors as well. I can't say enough good things about her. Her number is ###-###-####.
