I totally skipped socks. I just put both my babies in footy pajamas. It was easier than trying to keep the socks on AND I always felt their little legs were cold with open bottomed outfits.
Ladies:
I hear its near to impossible to keep socks on infants. Any recommendations for brands with staying power. Putting together a shower registry for our first (due in October). I'd hate to have people spend money on things that don't do as promised.
Thanks

Socks are hard!!! I have a 9wks old and had that problem until a friend bought my daughter a pack of socks and they stay on, YAY!! Find the okie dokie brand, they're AWESOME!!! Good Luck and Congrats on Expecting
My son had footed sleepers when he was tiny. When he was a bit older I didn't bother with socks too much. I loved seeing those precious pink baby toes every chance I could get! The house was warm and he never got cold.
the triple cuff works.
I do not remember the name of them but I really like the newborn socks with the "grippy" things on the bottom! I know it sounds silly because what does a newborn need with skid proof socks, they can't walk, but for some reason they really stay on the feet well! I believe you can find them at Babies R Us or Target even...
Oh, and Robeez (or the generic version at Target) those stay on very well!
Maddiesmommy is right...find the Okie-Dokie brand, I think that is JcPenny or Sears' brand...and they are good!
I know that they have little sock slings that are supposed to help keep socks up, but I haven't bought them. The ones that worked for me had the tighter (small) band of elastic on top. I got them from BRU, but of course, as soon as I realized that they stayed on, they were gone. So, my daughter has boy colored socks. :)
Depends on the feet and we can't see them yet! lol
Old Navy socks were always pretty good for us.
