Hi,
I am getting really sick of my hair. Its pretty long and its becoming an issue. So I am thinking about going to a medium/short length. Something a little below my shoulders. When I told my friend she told me I was too short for a haircut that short. Im about 5'2. Is she right, am I too short for a shorter hairstyle??

What can I do next?

That is silly. If it helps, I had actually heard that length of hair should be proportionate to height. Tall people should have long hair, short people should have short hair. But, then again. who cares? do what makes you happy? Sometimes short hair can takes longer to style than long hair and as a mom you're probably short on time. So, make sure you leave it long enough to still get into a ponytail or pull back into a clip.

Krystal,
It is your head, do what you want. I too had long hair all my life and I have recently cut it short (above my shoulders) and I LOVE it. I donated my hair to Locks of Love...you might want to consider it! www.locksoflove.org Enjoy the freedom of shorter hair!!!!!

That's the silliest thing I've heard in a while! But maybe that's just because I'm short and I've always had short hair... If you want short hair, go for it! :)

No way!
I've been doing hair for 12 years. You should get a cut that works well with the shape of your face, not your height. If anything, I think it might make you look taller.

Jada Pinkett Smith - Will Smith's wife - is about just 5 feet tall, and she has a pixie cut, or she did. And she looked great! Check out some magazines and the web for celebrity hair, but I think you can do what you like.

How dare anyone tell you what's right for you. I'm 5 foot and my M-I-Law has this thing about girls and short hair, but I don't care what she thinks. I have cut my hair and my daughters and when she says something, I just tell her that their hair grows and right now they wanted to have short so it's short when they want it long they'll let it grow out. She eventually shut her mouth and stopped trying to brain wash my kids. I know lots of people that are short and have really short hair. So do what you want, you need a change go for it if you hate it then let it grow back out. Sometimes it's simply about a change. J.
