Hi!
We have been in the area for a few months and I feel like I'm having a hard time finding people that I "click" with. I'm 27 and my daughter will be 2 this month. We're building a house in Lantana. I'm hoping to find some other young moms close by with toddlers to hang out with. Christian women would be ideal! Where are all the fun moms!?
Thanks!

What can I do next?

Hi M.,
Check out GLECPTA. http://www.glecpta.org/
Lantana also has a MOMS Club. http://www.momsclub.org/

These are great ways to meet other moms who have little ones.
Please let me know if you would like more information.

Fun moms can be found at First Baptist Church of Lewisville at Mom's INC(Moms In Christ), which is the first & third Tuesday of every month :) 9:00am-12noon. Great topics/speakers and support for moms! www.fbclewisville.org

Alot of local churches have Moms groups or MOPS(Mothers of Preschoolers). Great way to meet other moms and fellowship.

Hi M.!
You are invited to Denton Bible Church! LOTS going on with our church, including a moms group that meets every other Tuesday. www.dentonbible.org then look at Women's Ministry for details. Also our Fall Festival is the 23rd, and the one at Southmont Baptist Church is the 31st (our boys go to preschool there).
We live on the south side of Denton, close to Lantana. My boys just turned 3. I'm in MOMS Club Denton NE (I used to live on the north side of town), but there is also a South chapter you can join.
You are more than welcome to call me any time. ###-###-#### or e-mail me at ____@____.com I'm pretty "in-the-know" :) Welcome to Denton!

Here's a list of moms groups in Flower Mound, Bartonville, etc.
http://familyeguide.com/Support-Groups.html

I would also check www.familyeguide.com calendar and newsletter for specific activities in the area. Everything is family friendly, so it's a great way to meet other moms in the area with children of similar ages.

I would also check http://www.crosstimbersgazette.com/ (aka lantana links)
You may be familiar with the newspaper from living in Argyle, but the owner /editor actually lives in Lantana and had a website called Lantana Links that he combined with CTG a few years ago. They have lots of info on that area, and a forum that you can search for groups and activities.

There is a wonderful church down 1171 Crossroads Bible Church and go to a woman Bible study. I loved that church and Pastor Neil was my counselor when I was getting a divorce. Also if you can get away with a sitter you can join New Comers and look at the Chamber of Commerce for that. They have all sorts of little groups in there. A lot of the people are empty nesters but not are and they welcome all. First visit or two you do not need to join. Tell someone you are visiting. They go to lunch after the meeting you can go or not. They have a trip a month fun to do but not easy to take a 2 mo old. But once in awhile be fun to just get away for the meeting and lunch. Lantana is a wonderful place to build. I lived in Double Oak down the street and my girlfriend was in Lantana for a short time. Good luck. They also have a restraurant there and school and theather I think. G. W
