I absolutely love and would recommend to anyone Dr. Fliedner. I have been going to him for about 3 years. He has seen me through the pregnancy and birth of my son, a missed miscarriage and now another pregnancy. He is very caring and compassionate. I also love his nurse, Melinda. If you have any specific questions, pm me.

Dr. Fliedner assisted the other doctor in their practice, Dr. Tovar, with my c-section and he did one of my post delivery consultations. Though I didn't use him for my primary ob care, he seemed very nice when I did have contact with him. He was very understanding when I complained the pain meds were making me way too loopy so he was quick to change the original prescription. The funny thing I can say about him is when I was on the table having the c-section, he was telling Dr. Tovar how he had gone to Big Lots and bought his kids a swimming pool and they had done this and this and this over the weekend. I thought it was the most bizaare conversation to have while they were cutting me open and pulling out not one but two babies, lol. I guess it was just another day's work for them! Anyway, I'm sure he's great, not sure about Dr. Collins, my neighbor three doors down whose baby was born five days after my boys used her and seemed pleased. Best wishes!

Is it Dr. Rebecca Collins in Lewisville? I went to her for awhile. I really liked her, but it took forever to get an appt with her...even if you're an established patient.

Dr. Collins is my doc and I love her. Dr. Fleidner assisted with my c-section when he was with that group, and I saw him once, too - pleasant enough.

But I do agree with the other poster - getting an appt. with Dr. C can be hard. I have had numerous fertility issues and can say, however, that as long as I've been willing to see her at either location, I have usually always gotten in the same week. Her nurses are really good, too and appointments with them are pretty easy.

Overall, I do recommend her - she is very southern and gentle, but has a wicked sense of humor (Once told me she would fake schedule an appointment for me whe I was pregnant just so I could come sit in her waiting room and read for a few hours).

My c-section was unexpected and was an emergency and it really wasn't until afterward that I understood just how serious it was - she was just so calm and confident about everything that I didn't doubt her. She has that steel magnolia quality to her, is the best way to describe it.
