I'm looking for a good OB in Broomfield or Louisville connected with Avista. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Any opinions on Avista Women's Care or Kimberlee Barnes? Not sure if she even does OB .

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you. I'll probably stick with Avista Women's Care. I went there for my last pregnancy and they're all very nice; except the front desk staff. Anyone know if the front desk people are any friendlier? They sure weren't before.
I just didn't like that the doc seemed like she was pushing to do a caesarean section; seemed to want to do surgery. And was hoping for something maybe closer.

Dr. Elizabeth Howell is the best! She was not my doctor for our first, but ended up delivering him. I liked her so much, I switched to her at my 6 week checkup. She ended up delivering my second. After that we both moved to CO. I would have gone to her for my third, but she wouldn't accept me because I am too high risk to be so far away from my doctor, especially when so many good doctors are around. Anyway, I absolutely loved her! She's a good friend, now. Not sure if she's on your insurance as I'm not familiar with it, but you should be able to find out easily.

Dr Mary Beth Bissell from Women to Women Healthcare located at Avista. She has been the greatest. There are two other female doctors in her practice. I only met Dr Molly Romary, she was also very nice. It was a wonderful experience with their practice. I wish I'd know about them for our first. Really I can't say enough about them!
Good Luck!

I just had my second baby with Women's Health Group in Lafayette. Dr. Eastman-Gallo was my primary but I also saw Dr.'s Roos & Begley at least 2x each.
I like smaller practices, better the chances that I get my doctor of preference most often and with birth.
Maybe not connected with Avista but I can recommend their practice.
Happy Day!

Hello. Dr. Barnes only does GYN. I go to Dr. Carole Christensen at Boulder Women's Center at Avista. She's great! I'm an OB/GYN in Brighton. Hope this helps...

I go to Avista Women's care and have for about 4 years. They are great--all of them. My OBGYN is Long Huynh, but I've heard good things about Loralie Moeller, Karin Spears, and the NP Jennifer Jones (who is actually the one who helped me get preggers the first time-wonderful personality). I think there are 2 other Drs/NPs there (I don't think Kimberlee Barnes is there unless she is very new). Wonderful, wonderful, and my friends think so, too. And it's great that they're right there at the hospital. Plus, if you need some pediatricians, there are at least 3 of them to choose from right there onsite as well. Good luck.
