I currently see Dr. Wendy Kindrick at Womens Integrated Healthcare, however, I am a little hesitant about staying with her through pregnancy and delivery. I sometimes find her uninformative. Does she even deliver? I've read a few posts and no one has mentioned her. Is it okay to see a new doctor just for pregnancy?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks. After watching the news tonight on Womens Integrated Healthcare, I am switching doctors. I had a gut feeling something wasn't quite right. I will try to get in with one of the doctor's mentioned here. I just dont trust them anymore.

Dr. Kindrick delivered my son 5 years ago because she was on call for the practice during Labor Day weekend. She was very good and I would recommend her. However, Dr. Allen was my regular doc and I saw her throughout my pregnancy. So, while my time with Dr. Kindrick was short, I think she did a great job.

I think you should have a doctor you have confidence in regardless of if it's just for pregnancy or if you just want to change altogether. You certainly don't want to be second guessing your doctor in the middle of your delivery or if any complications come up! I see Dr. New and I know and had Dr. Rost help deliver my 3rd child. Both men are excellent. They are in the Baylor hospital Dr's office in Grapevine. Great office, great men, I love it there!

I go to Dr. Troy New at Baylor Gvine....he has delivered both my boys, and I absolutely love him. Other friends go to Dr. Rost who is in the same practice. It would be best to stick with your Dr since she knows your history but if you're uncomfortable then I would certainly consider a change. Good luck!

It kinda depends on how far along you are. Alot of doctors will not take you on as a new patient if you are past a certain point. If you've been seeing this doctor for a while and just have reservations about this doctor seeing you during your pregnancy...1) could it be hormones making you anxious? You should still take steps to be comfortable with your doctor, but be honest about why you feel uneasy. 2)tell the office when you schedule your next appt. that you want a little more time since you have some questions to go over with the doctor 3) WRITE it all down and ask her or just give her the list 4) Tell the doctor that you are wondering if it would be better for both her and you if you found another doctor during your pregnancy since you have the feeling that she doesn't want to deliver the baby/isn't very informative, etc.
She might be able to recommend someone in her practice and most doctors are not going to take it personally, so do what you need to to feel comfortable.
Hope this helps. Congratulations!!

I love Dr.Kilianski at North Texas Women's Healthcare. He delivers at Baylor-Grapevine. He is very knowledgeable and always takes time to explain things and answer questions. He is very serious, though. If you prefer someone with a sense of humor, his partner Dr. White is also excellent. He assisted with my c-section and was a hoot!
