I am a nurse and worked around D. Dobbins when she was a resident. She's wonderful! Don't know about Beeson or Hager. But, can tell you Dobbins would be a good choice.
Has anyone gone to or know any info about Dr. Dobbins or Dr. Beeson in Yukon, OK??? Our insurance has changed, and I'm almost a year overdue for my yearly checkup!! Woops!! Thanks so much! Or any info on Dr. Hager would be great too. She is on our insurance, and I have heard a little about her, but Yukon would be a lot closer for us! Ha.

Well, I don't know about them, but if D.. Darren Goff is on your insurance, he's GREAT. He delivered my sister-in-law's baby and then mine the next year. We both had to have c-sections, and he can not only get down to the baby quickly in case of need, he also sews up very nicely afterward. My husband (a registered nurse) was impressed with how neat a stitching job he did. (My son was transverse and we were going to try version, but then discovered all sorts of other urgent complications and finally preeclampsia that did not respond to treatment, so I had to have a baby three weeks sooner than anticipated. But it was still a good experience [Mercy Hospital].) I highly recommend him! His office is across the street from Mercy Hospital, so it's easy to get to off the Kilpatrick Turnpike. If you find someone good closer to home, though, go for it!
D.. Dobbins is awesome!! My daughter, who works in the Womens Center in Intergris, not only works with D.. Dobbins but used her as her OBGYN.I met her for the first time when she delivered my grandbaby. She is such a caring person and a excellent doctor.
I used D.. Davis who is also there at Integris and I think she is great also. D.. Beeson is a really good doctor also,I have never met her, just going by what I have heard from a friend who used her.
I have never heard of D.. Hager.
Hope this helps!!
Oh boy, this is one question that gets me fired up. I went to Dobbins for many years and she delivered my first baby. However, I didn't know until the very end of my pregnancy that she was the type of doctor to "schedule" babies arrival. With me she induced me early (two weeks) and I ended up in a c-section that was NOT medically necessary. My sister in law also used Dobbins and the doctor was calling her at home 2 weeks before her due date wanting her to come in to be induced b/c she was the on call doctor that weekend. She is all for scheduling c-sections and inductions and the nurses know her for early deliveries. There are many reasons why these kind of practices are not okay. If you're interested in more info on those topics shoot me a message and I can forward you many websites. I will say that if you are okay with scheduling a delivery then Dobbins is a great doc, she is easy to talk to and ask questions to, etc. I now have had two friends that have used Beeson and they love her. She is friendly, easy to talk to and she insists that babies will come when they are ready. She does not induce unless you are past your due date or for medically needed purposes. I would highly recommend Beeson over Dobbins. Good luck!
I have worked with both Dobbins and Beeson for years. Both are great docs. Dobbins has a waiting list right now for new OB patients, so I'm not sure about just GYN appointments. As for the scheduling deliveries, Dobbins does not recommend inductions unless medically necessary. I had to plead in order to be induced with my first one (personal choice for me) and she tried to convince me to wait to go naturally. I know of other docs that would rather do a c-section on every patient and I so disagree with that practice. Dobbins and Beeson are both honest and upfront with all medical choices and decisions. Your opinion matters in the medical decision making process. Another good choice if Beeson is on your insurance is JD Lackey. He is a great doc too! He's right across the hall from Beeson and is in the Integris hospital.
D.. Dobbins is a pleasant, friendly, and wonderful doctor. I worked with her when she was a resident too, and for a while after she was on her own. I have nothing I can say that is evenly remotely negative about her. I dont know the other two, so cant say either way on them. You wont go wrong with Lori Dobbins though.
As a resident I saw her do things that other experienced doctors were having trouble doing (like an external version to prevent someone from having to have a c-section because the baby was breech.) I am sure her skills have only gotten better over the years. She has been out on her own now for a little while so she is not "green" or inexperienced =)
Great choice. She delivered my youngest two children and is great! She will be delivering my next, as well. She is very attentive to the needs of you and your baby. I have larger babies and she has always monitored my pregnancies very closely and ordered ultrasounds to keep up with the growth of my children. D.. Dobbins has never induced me before full term and has never tried a bogus excuse to induce. She is a very conscienscious professional and will make sure you are very informed of all aspects of your care and what is going on with all of your medical needs. I have referred many to D.. Dobbins and she has deliverd for others in my family, too.
I see D.. Beeson and really like her. I think either D.. would be fine but I haven't seen D.. Dobbins. Good luck.
