I tried for over a year and here's the thing...it's hard to QUALIFY for the surveys, in the first place. You can spend twenty minutes on a survey and then "not qualify" because of one answer. I spent time every night for a year trying this, to no avail...never got enough points to cash in for anything.

HOWEVER, here's the good news. Go to "Swagbucks." I can't rave about this sight enough. Set up an account, and install their toolbar. Use it for all your searched. You randomly win "swagbucks" for searches, plus you can vote on polls, do tasks, play simple short games, and TAKE SURVEYS. Granted, you still won't qualify for most of them, but when you do you'll win your swagbucks and you don't waste as much time.

And here's the awesome thing...you can cash them in for prizes, giftcards, etc. I cash in for at least 15-20 dollars worth of Amazon gift cards EVERY MONTH just from our daily computer use (which isn't a lot...between me and my husband) and occasionally doing a survey. I buy my children TONS of stuff off Amazon, and get it all free!

I've been using the sight for years, and I love it. Definitely install the toolbar, though, and use it for all your searches. I don't directly go to any sight, I just type "mamapedia" (for example) into the toolbar, because 1 out of 6 times or so, I'll win 10 or 11 swagbucks.

I did it for a year and made over 1500.00 bucks. I won 1000 in a drawing from one site, had two 50 phone panels and the rest in gift cards. I also got full sized products to test, like stain removers, tin foil, shampoo. if you're lucky, you might get asked to do an in-person panel and those pay up to several hundred dollars. I got invited twice, but couldnt commit to the time required. After a year I was so burned out I still cant look at a survey! check out this lady's blog, she doesnt list anything that doesnt send product or pay. she claims to make several thousand a month. www.realwomenrealmoneyworkfromhome.blogspot.com okay, forget that, i just tried the link and she's not there anymore. bummer. the one i won the money on was i-say.com opinionoutpost.com was good too. quickrewards.net and dailysurveypanel.com also pay well. good luck

Usually you earn points for gifts. If you convert your points for dollars it's usually 1000 points for $10 and most surveys are only 5-10 points. It's not worth the hassle.

Neither is mystery shopping jobs, I tried those also and after several months of being signed up with a company I finally got a job. It took hours and lots of paper work, I turned it all in on time and it took months to be paid.

I receive $$ to spend at Amazon regularly by doing surveys. Love it!

I am on several panels for major companies, but unfortunately they are all by invitation-only. About 5 years ago, I joined mysurvey.com.....& it snowballed from there.

Will it support you....nope. It's just enough $$ to buy fun things each month...new MP3 downloads, a gift here & there.....& that's it. But every little bit helps...& it's fun to boot! ++ I like saving up my gift cards....drives my DH nuts!

Hi I., my daughter had her own little bussiness going doing on line surveys, it paid for her classes and her books. I'm happy to say ReverendRuby is wrong, my daughter did very well with on line surveys, she reasearched them before she started cause some are not on the up and up, and she also won points and got some free stuff good stuff. Do the research some pay pretty well. J.

Well, if you mean pocket money like I can go buy a Coke and a Snickers bar-then, yes.
I do survey's that I get paid $3 a pop for. Made over $100 over time.
I am sure there are others...
Oh-I also do some that vary in the amount paid, but they are terribly infrequent.
HTH!

ETA: My DH banned Swagbucks from our new computer...claims it fried the old one. All my bucks are just hanging out there. =...(
