What sort of outdoor toys are you looking for? I have found just about any plastic toy works outside well.

Usually the cheaper toys are made with mostly plastic. I would suggest going to big lots or a dollar store.

Get those big dump trucks and other vehicles for your 5 yr old son. Something else thats always great for outdoor fun are the plastic fake yard tools like rake, shovel, fake lawnmower, especially the lawnmower that blows bubbles when you push it. Sidewalk chalk if you are brave!

For the two year old, tricycles or other ride on vehicles that are mostly plastic or weather resistant metal. You can find plastic blocks (instead of wooden ones) sometimes. Another good idea for them is the megablocks tables. They are usually all plastic with mesh nets to hold the blocks and since the blocks are plastic they work outside well.

why don't you run an ad in the Greensheet and see if anyone is wanting to sell that sort of stuff. There is a website that you can go to for used things I have to ask a friend of mine what it is because I can't remember. As soon as I find out I will let you know. I'm about to do the same thing for my son for this summer.
