My OB is Dr. Martha Schmitz and I was wondering whether anyone in the area has had any experience with her as an OB. I just moved back to town and I wanted to get some feedback from other patients. Thank you!

I have seen her.. I didn't deliver any of my children here in Austin, so I can't say how good she is with that. I do have a friend who has delivered with her and really likes her. I have only seen her once and saw her nurse practioner the other time and liked her a lot too. She has a great reputation.... J.

Dr Schmitz is my OB and I love her! She delivered my baby and It was a great experience. She is very patient and listens to all your concerns, also she is pro-natural birth, so C sections are last resort.I really like her, if I'm blessed with another baby I would like her to deliver him/her:-))

Dr. Schmitz spends a great deal of time with each patient and that may be why the wait in the room is so long. I understand the frustration, especially if you are on a schedule. You won't be unhappy with her care if you can tolerate the wait.

Dr. Schmitz was my OB while I was pregnant with my daughter. The only problem is that I usually had to wait 45 min to an hour in the examining room before she came in. That really frustrated me because I was taking time off work for my appointments. I complained several times and was told I could try scheduling the first appointment of the day, which wasn't an option for me because of my job, or the first after lunch, which I did and which didn't take care of the problem. I saw the other doctor who works out of her office a couple times and liked her better, although unfortunately I can't remember her name. Otherwise, I was very happy that she supported my plan to have a natural delivery and only resorted to C-section as a last resort, as opposed to scheduling a birth. Hope your experience is better, good luck!
