Hi everyone~ I'm looking for a pediatric dentist in the Huntigton Beach/Newport Beach/Costa Mesa Areaa. Can anyone recommend someone they feel is wonderful with children.I have a two year old son who almost has all of his teeth , including his 2 year molars. I'm interested in a general evaluation, possible teeth cleaning and some possible advise on tips to ease the drama of brushing teeth at home. He also still uses a pacifer which he totally doesn't need anymore,but clearly wants. We are working on eliminating this asap as I'm afraid it's ruining his teeth. Any suggestions would be wonderful.Thank you.
My 17 month old just chipped her tooth and Dr. Hersch did a wonderful job. He is located in the Fashion Island offices in Newport Beach. I live in Fountain Valley and he is worth the drive!!! IT took him 10 minutes to fix her tooth!!! Great staff too! ###-###-####
OUr dentist is Suelene Chen in HB,###-###-####. She has a great office, very kid friendly and a super bedside manner. She is fairly new and takes a lot of time to make sure the children are comfortable. I've taken my 2 & 4 year old to her twice and they want to go back!

My children love them, the office is wonderful, the staff amazing and we have only had great experiences there for the last 5 years with our four children. The Dentist is so great, when he saw my son for the first time, he was only 7 months old and the dentist was awesome with him, as he is with all of my children!

Teddy Bear Dental in Irvine is great. I have been taking my daughter there since she was one. They are excellent and designed only for children. Irvine is not to far from Costa Mesa, and they are very good with children. I highly recommend them!!

Try Dr. Markham; he's located on Magnolia and the 405 off-ramp. He's not a pediatric dentist, but they are a family practice in business for more than 40 years; the best and most personable staff ever!
Dr. Christian Lopez on 17th Street in Costa Mesa (could be Newport Beach) is wonderful. He has small children of his own so he totally gets it. We have gone to a couple different dentists and he was by far the best one. He was gentle and made both my son's feel very comfortable. By the way, his staff his awesome too!! We are seeing him again next week and my older son (3 1/2) is excited!! :)

We use Dr. Beanca Chu in Huntington Beach. My 4 year old has been going there since she was 2-1/2. It has never been stressful or scarey. They are gentle and the office is fun. They have flat screen tv's on the ceiling for the kids to watch cartoons while they are reclined. There are stuffed animals everywhere and pictures of happy children with bright smiles.
Dr. Chu is a mom herself, so she "gets" it.

Hi R.- I will give you a second reccomendation for Christian Lopez. Not only is he fantastic, but the hygenist who cleans the kids teeth is so great with kids that my daughter (she is 5) LOVES to go to the dentist. Beautiful office on the corner of Irvine and 17th in Newport/Mesa. They even put up a welcome sign with your childs name on it when you arrive in the office. Movies on the ceiling for the kids and a "menu" with pictures of all of the fun flouride and cleaning flavors. I would go there if I could!!!
